I am a certified Birth Doula and Yoga Instructor with years of experience. My practice is trauma-informed and size inclusive from a Health At Every Size perspective. I have a grounded and empathetic presence, with a dash of joyful and playful energy. When receiving care from me, expect to be met with compassion, attuned too, deeply cared for, and fiercely advocated for. In my free time, I enjoy reading, making tea blends, cuddling with my cats, and connecting deeply with nature.

I am a queer affirming, Health At Every Size(HAES) aligned Certified Birth Doula CD(DONA), Full Spectrum Doula, and Perinatal Yoga Instructor. I work primarily as a birth and postpartum doula, and I offer additional private yoga classes when working with me. I also offer private yoga classes for those only seeking yoga.
Sophia and I didn’t get a chance to meet before my son’s birth. She was the second doula in my team and stepped in about 1/2 way through a rough 48 hour early induction. We were originally on the fence about hiring a doula because I’m a health care provider and wasn’t sure I’d need one. But nothing in my flexible birth plan went the way I’d hoped and I can’t fathom what it would have been like without my doulas. Everyone needs a doula. GET A DOULA! Anyway…I don’t easily bond with people and I immediately felt comfortable with Sophia. She was calm, empathetic, and knew exactly what to do and say to support me and my partner. I’m struggling to find the words to express how much it mattered that she was there with me that day. But it mattered. A lot. And I’m forever bonded to and grateful for Sophia. 10/10 would recommend. She’s the best!

Sophia was an amazing doula during my pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum experience. As soon as I met Sophia, I felt an instant connection. Before our first meeting was over my husband knew she was hired by the smile that had been on my face since the beginning I was attempting a home birth and she was so helpful in preparing my husband and me. During the labor and birth itself, Sophia helped set the ambiance, made sure I was hydrated, and helped me move around the house and in different positions, made sure I was taken care of, and made sure my husband was taken care of in the process. She is forever engrained in our hearts as she helped bring our son into the world. We are so grateful to her and are so excited for the lucky families that will get to experience the magic that is Sophia.
