Need help with lactation and handling post partum! ASAP

Hi there! I’m a desperate mama whose hospital lactation consultant had to leave on emergency surgery and can’t get in person support until the end of October. I’m looking for supporting getting baby to latch and stay latched. Currently using a nipple shield with little luck and am at my wits end. Baby gets sleepy on the boob in cross cradle! Budget $500 for in person support helping getting my baby to latch. I am a week and three days postpartum with a baby born on 09/19/25.

Help with nursing my one month old. I’m not sure if I need to change my diet or his latch isn’t quite right. But he seems rather gassy and uncomfortable plus he’s feeding like every hour or less, and I have a one and a half year-old. So that’s rather inconvenient.

I have been trying to exclusively breastfeed. However my left nipple is very sore and hurts to breast feed on. So I started pumping but not sure how often to pump and if I should pump both sides. Also I brought my baby to the doctor and they want me to supplement with formula because she isn’t gaining as much weight as they like. Now I am very confused about all of it. I need some help!! Looking for someone local and covered by insurance (UMR United healthcare).

Lactation help. My newborn won’t latch on my nipples, but will with a nipple shield. He will suckle for a minute or so before falling asleep at the breast requiring constant stimulation to nurse. He will then be hungry a few minutes after feeding again.

Me and my baby were having a pretty good run with breastfeeding and then at 3 weeks old we both got sick and he stopped latching so i implemented bottles to help him eat and it’s been hard to get him back to the boob. I’ve tried nipple shields and all the positions I know but he’s just pulling off the boob .

i would like a water birth or at least a very comfortable and compassionate hospital setting that listens to MY needs/wants. i am currently working on a birth plan. im 20 weeks today and i dont know a budget range right now.
