About me

Hi, Congratulations on your new arrival! I'm Shannon and I am a Certified Postpartum Doula. I also offer prenatal support before your baby/babies arrive. I have my Early Childhood Certificate. I am located in Wilmington, Delaware and serve the surrounding areas. With my big family, I have always been so "In love"with babies ever since I could hold one and I came to discover that caring for babies was a special gift I was given. I always cherish each moment I have with them as I only want to share my love and care that I have for them. This is a new and exciting time in your family but it can also be a time of fatigue, stress, and chaos. This is where I fit into the picture to offer nonjudgmental support, and lots of love, care and help so that you and your family adjust and ease into your new lifestyle. In my free time, I enjoy baking, cooking, the outdoors, creating art and spending time with my family and friends.

Service introduction

Hi, I am Shannon. I have always had a special gift for caring for babies and little children which is why I hold them near and dear to my heart. I only want to share the love and care I have for them. I was never one to ever pass up the opportunity to hold a baby in my family at a get together growing up and there were always a lot of gatherings with both grandparents living locally . I am one of 6 children and and I have 64 first cousins so there was never not an opportunity to find a baby to hold. These moments always brought a wealth of joy and happiness to me and the baby as well as the parents who knew I would not mind caring for their child for the duration of my visit. I have been caring for babies since the age of 12. I have been a mother's helper, a babysitter for babies and multiple kids, I have worked in a daycare with babies, I have been a nanny for babies and multiple kids, a foster mom to a 10 day old baby and I have had experience with twins as I babysat the ones in my family and for other families. As your Postpartum doula I am here to assist families in the first year after their baby is born or is welcomed into your home. Services include but are not limited to self-care and recovery, postpartum support and care, infant care, sibling care, infant care information and teaching you how to care for your infant, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, meal preparation/cooking, pet care, errands, massages, overnight care, and a listening ear. These services may last anywhere from a few days to a few months depending on your needs. I assist during the day and at night as this will help your family adjust to your new lifestyle. I am willing to do anything else that will help make your life easier as you begin this wonderful journey. I look forward to caring for your family as you begin this new and exciting journey! Sending you, Peace, Light, and Love! And Remember.... You Are Not Alone!
