HELLO! My name is Shantella Williams! I am a state certified perinatal health specialist as a birth and postpartum doula. As a child growing up in a in home daycare and watching my parents daycare grow into a center I always knew I wanted to be a COMMUNITY WORKER as well. Working with mothers and their children has become a strong passion of mine. Graduating and receiving my certifications justified my feelings towards the safety and security mothers and their children deserve. Becoming a doula has been a journey. My passion for this field, combined with my respect for mothers and all they endure makes me eager to get on board. With a genuine and nurturing nature combined with a professional and ambitious approach, I possess the primary skills needed in my career. Including being supportive, knowledgeable,caring and having patience. These qualities will contribute to every client while positively highlighting the professionalism and competencies within myself. As a state certified perinatal health specialist I’m working as a birth and postpartum doula. I will be mentally, physically, and emotionally preparing my pregnant mothers and their families for labor and delivery. Coaching and support during pregnancy. Also, I will prepare my mothers for breastfeeding if requested as well during postpartum I will help seek any therapy that may be needed to prevent depression.
