I was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. After obtaining a BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah, I was able to tour as a professional dancer for many years. Upon "retiring" from dance, I returned to graduate school and obtained my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington. My passion has always been to understand the inner mechanics of the body. I am a certified Level 5 Romana's Pilates Instructor as well as a MELT (Myofascial Energetic Lengthening Technique) Level 1 practitioner. Through my dance, pilates, and myofascial training, I used pelvic floor strengthening components for many years, but felt l needed to further my knowledge. Following PT school, I underwent extensive training in pelvic floor physical therapy and the treatment of women's health issues. I believe in looking at the body as an entire system rather than piecemeal parts in order to treat the whole person.
