Pleased to meet you! I’m Savannah, and I’m a certified Birth, and Postpartum Doula that specializes in infant care, and gentle sleep coaching. I reside in the beautiful countryside of Northern North Carolina with my six awesome kids, their father, and a big ‘ol flock of backyard chickens… and ducks… and guineas… and turkeys :) I absolutely love spending time with my family, and cherish making memories with them whether we’re playing a board game, bowling, or out on the lake for the day.

Birth Doula Basic
*(3) prenatal visits *1st visit: Getting to know each other, discussing thoughts on birth, what type of birth you’re wanting, meeting partner, going over what to expect from your Doula, and any questions you have for me. Would love for you to take a childbirth class if this is your first baby so you’re in the know by the next time we meet. *2nd visit: Diving deeper into your birth plans! Do you need help writing one? Do you have one made already? What do you want your ideal labor & birth to look like? What do you want and/or not want (ie:intermittent monitoring, IV fluids, pain meds, to eat during labor, cervical checks, to move around & change positions, delayed cord clamping, immediate skin to skin, breast/formula/donor milk feeding, take home placenta, circumcision, etc). Preparing for the birth you want. *3rd visit: Going over pain management techniques during labor. Would you like physical touch/massage/counter pressure? Words of affirmation? Someone to simply hold space? Going over your birth plan, and your wants/do not wants. Where are you laboring at? Am I meeting you at the hospital/birth center/ home? *24/7 text/phone support *On call 24/7 from the time you hit 37 weeks. *Continuous in-person support during labor and delivery at your chosen location, and staying up to 2 hours after birth to capture precious firsts on photo/video if you’d like, help with getting baby latched if you’re wanting to breastfeed, or refer you to some lactation support if baby seems to be struggling with their latch. Assist you in getting to/and or help while you use the bathroom for the first time postpartum. Teach you all the ins & outs of caring for your sensitive nether region after a vaginal birth. Help get birthing parent settled and comfortable. *(1) 1-2 hour home visit at 3-4 days postpartum. This can look so different for every person/family, so we can discuss what you are needing most at that time, so I can serve you best. Some people like to hand baby off and run to take a shower and sleep, while others want to sit down with a good cup of tea(or coffee!), and just process the major event that just took place: bringing a human earth side!:) .. Or, you may want me to prep some dinner, get it in the InstantPot, load the dishwasher, fold and put away baby’s laundry, while you and baby nurse/sleep. Or I could wear baby if you’re comfortable with that while your little one naps. Or I’m happy to give baby a bottle and let them hang out in the bouncy seat while I make you a snack and you shower. This is about you, the birthing person, and what you need. Everything else comes after your needs are met.

Just Birth
This is for those of you who feel like they don’t need any prenatal visits. Perhaps you’ve had a baby before. Maybe you have done the childbirth classes, and are feeling prepared for everything, but would still love that extra support during birth from someone who is extremely experienced. Whether it’s to hold space in silence, give helpful words of encouragement, or use physical touch to bring comfort. Perhaps your partner is away for work, deployed in the military, or maybe you’re a single parent who doesn’t have family nearby or a support person in their lives. That’s where a doula comes in!:) *24/7 text/phone support *On call 24/7 from the time you hit 36 weeks. *This package includes continuous, in-person support during labor and delivery at your chosen location, and staying up to 2 hours after birth to capture precious firsts on photo/video if you’d like, help with getting baby latched if you’re wanting to breastfeed, or refer you to some lactation support if baby seems to be struggling with their latch. Assist you in getting to/and or help while you use the bathroom for the first time postpartum. Teach you all the ins & outs of caring for your sensitive nether region after a vaginal birth. Help get birthing parent settled and comfortable.

I can't thank Savannah enough for her incredible support throughout my pregnancy journey. From the moment I told her about my pregnancy , she provided invaluable guidance on creating a birth plan tailored to my preferences and needs. Her knowledge on postpartum healing and breastfeeding was a game-changer, offering practical tips and emotional support every step of the way.One of the most impactful aspects of her care was the open discussions we had about circumcision. She provided thorough information and empowered me to make an informed decision that felt right for our family. Her compassionate approach and wealth of expertise made all the difference during such a significant time in our lives. Savannah is a beacon of authenticity in a world often clouded by conformity. I highly recommend Savannah to any expecting parent seeking personalized, supportive care. Forever grateful for her guidance and wisdom.

Savannah is one-of-kind. Truly a gift to the birthing community. When I was pregnant with my last son, she was with me virtually, helping me every step of the way since it was my first home birth and we were far away physically. She helped me relax, helped me understand what to expect, and helped to alleviate any fears I had. I can honestly say that my last birth was the most MAGICAL, EMPOWERING experience of my life and Savannah was a huge part of the why. I can’t recommend her enough. She is a true advocate for the birthing mother, and you feel like you have a partner holding your hand. Thank you Savannah for being YOU!
