Service introduction

As a Birth Doula, I offer support throughout your pregnancy, labor and postpartum period. It is truly an honor for me to hold space for you during such an important time in your lives and I value my relationship with each new family. I can provide resources you may need in the community, answer questions about your specific birth location or in general about labor and birth. We go over comfort measures that can be used in labor whether you are planning to be medicated or unmedicated and I help you and your partner navigate the many ins and outs of pregnancy and new parenthood in the United States.

My family calls Saron the baby whisperer. She helped me postnatal with my first son and was a life savor. She is punctual, communicative, caring, gentle, knowledgeable on all things baby and mama …. I couldn’t recommend someone more. You will be in the BEST hands possible if you have the luck of hiring her!

Saron was super helpful in my pregnancy and birthing experience. She listened to me and respected all my choices. I felt very safe with her there during my birth and she was always reassuring my husband and I throughout the process. She was a calm, positive energy that was so appreciated.

Saron was the best decision I made when it came to preparing for my birth. As a first time mom she made me feel so comfortable and powerful. She helped educate me so I could make decisions that would best benefit me and my baby. She will forever be a friend of mine and I would choose to have her there for every one of my babies.

Saron is an amazing and very knowledgeable doula!! I’m so grateful for all her support and kindness she gave me during pregnancy and postpartum! Birth definitely didn’t go as planned but not in a bad way! I had a scheduled c section due to baby being breech and I did not want to attempt a natural birth! Although, Saron did educate me with all my available options and how to advocate for them! After deciding for the scheduled c section, my baby decided to come a few days earlier due to my water breaking! After c section and post recovery, I was given a terrible miscommunication of my labs and Saron was there to make sure they clarified and recheck all was normal- sure enough and thankfully, it was normal! But saron being there and advocating for me made a world of difference. I was going through so much after my c section and the miscommunication I got was very terrible, so I’m truly grateful for having Saron there to help me get through that! Also, postpartum has not been easy so having her checking in on me and helping with my baby blues/depression will forever be appreciated!

Let me just say birth cannot truly/fully be imagined or described. The experience has no words and is full of emotions. The initial road was a little rocky for the relationship; however, Saron was very transparent, listened to what was being expressed, and we were able to connect. Myself and family provided what we wanted...unmedicated natural birth center birth. Saron provided an abundance of needed information and guidance. During birth, I am not gonna lie, at some points I felt as if I was gonna give up. She knew exactly what to say/do that made me find strength I never knew existed. Even after his birth she still checks in. Whenever the time comes for our next baby she is the only doula I want by my side because I know she has our back. She is a person we will forever be grateful to have apart of our lives. If you have the opportunity to connect with Saron, I strongly advise to do it. You wont regret it.

As a SMBC, Saron was invaluable for the birth of my son. She is a calm nonjudgmental supportive presence. She was there while I labored and then when I needed to make the difficult decision to have an emergency c section. I would 1000x recommend her as a doula.

This is a Saron appreciation post! Saron was our birth doula who supported and guided my husband and me as we brought our son earth side. Throughout our pregnancy and labor/birth journey, Saron was a centering light and a calming balm when we needed her most. Saron helped us discern challenging decisions as we maneuvered a labor/birth that looked much different than what we had imagined. Through it all, Saron’s strength, compassion, and care shined through to help us feel empowered, strengthened, and safe as we journeyed to welcome our son into the world. Saron helped us every step of the way during labor/birth to, as she puts it, surrender to the unimaginable. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Saron. We love you very much. We connected with Saron through Rooted Birth which is an amazing doula collective here in San Antonio. Throughout pregnancy, we learned how deeply important doulas, as well as midwives and other birth workers, are to reproductive justice and maternal health. Saron practices and imagines a more liberatory world where birth is empowering, safe, and healing. This is essential, life-giving work in a world where white supremacy, capitalism, and patriarchy try their damndest to control and manipulate the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum process. We are so thankful to continue learning from Saron to imagine, create, and practice a world that can be!
