Hi, I plan to give birth at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. I don’t have a budge I’m looking for a Tricare approved doula that my insurance can pay for. I really don’t have a birth plan planned out but I do want to try for a tolac/vbac.

I would love to have a home birth with a very experienced doula. Someone who is very educated on home births and everything that entails. This will be my first birth experience and I would love to have it be as natural as possible but also feel safe and well taken care of during that crucial time.

To help me reduce labor because I think they’re trying to induce me on the seventh and I want to have a natural labor and have My water break.

Im 28 on baby number 4 my 3 other kiddos are 3, 1 1/2, and 6 months old. I just got a positive test and I'm trying to figure out my options. Id like an unmedicated birth this time and always feel pressure at the hospital to get an epidural when I get to 7ish cm. the last two times I've given birth I was confident I could do it without the epidural but again felt pressured because they said it would spend the process up. ideally id like to have a home water birth.

Hospital with my obgyn I really don’t know the average price for this because I didn’t explore this with my first born but I had a traumatic experience. I am high risk, on several medications. I need someone well versed in medical interventions and hopefully with my health conditions as well so that they can help advocate for me during birth. Last time my husband and mom were there and I was in so much pain, I felt like no one heard me and no one spoke up for me. I want to try for unmedicated vaginal birth( first birth was vaginal but with an epidural) least amount of interventions as possible, but I’m always willing to hear the doctors point of view on why they recommend something. I just need someone on my side who can help ask questions and help me decide when I’m not mentally able to do it on my own.

I plan to give birth at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara. I was hoping Insurance would cover the costs of getting a doula - but if not, i'm not sure what the range of budgets should even be for doulas. I would like to labor as long as possible without an epidural and avoid tearing if possible and/or C-section if not medically necessary.
