I am Raelene Whitehead! I trained as a birth doula in November 2021, and attended my first birth later that month. I opened Shiloh Birth LLC a few months later. I added placenta encapsulation to my services in May 2023! By the end of this year, I will have gained my Essential Oils Birth Consultant certificate. I became a birth doula and placenta encapsulationist because I believe women deserve support. Women deserve education and information especially when it comes to pregnancy, birth and postpartum. My desire and mission is to help women develop a peaceful environment for them to birth in. I want moms to feel safe and respected with the decisions they make when it comes to their body and baby. When I am not at a birth or encapsulating a placenta, I am a stay-at-home wife and soon to be mama coming February 2024. Occasionally substitute teach at Gateway Christian School. You may find me curled up on the couch watching movies with my husband while I crochet. I love painting and have been playing the violin since I was 14.

I have a long time passion for mamas and their babies. For over 19 years, I have supported mothers by caring for children and am honored to continue serving families as a Doula while they transition into motherhood & beyond. Through my own birth stories and experience walking alongside others, I gained knowledge and exposure to natural childbirth, hospitals and OB’s, NICU stays, induction, birth trauma, high-risk pregnancies, and with midwives in birth centers. I am a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist through Lactation Education Resources, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist trained through International Placenta and Postpartum Association and currently completing the credentialing process through DONA International.
