I am looking for an out of hospital birth midwife in the east bay.

I would like a birth doula and postpartum doula. I’m estimated due date is, 8/21/25

I am low income, unemployed. My husband is a military veteran and currently a full time college student. I have Medi-cal insurance. I am unsure of birthing center currently. We are comfortable spending $200 or less a month for care. This is my first pregnancy and I also have a Chronic Disease (MALS) and I have had bad experiences with hospitals, so I am unsure where to begin looking in regards to birth centers/hospitals.

I want to have a natural birth if I can. I want to be more educated about planning a natural birth/having a more holistic approach to pregnancy! I’m super new to this yet I do have a good take on a natural and healthy life style. Not sure where I’m planning on giving birth, I live in a pretty rural area so I’ll have to travel somewhere to deliver if home birth thing isn’t going to work! I’m not sure on budge either, my partner and I JUST bought a house and we are both small business owners so we don’t really make tons of money. I’m a little stressed out how this will work for us to be honest. I won’t be receiving any money for maturity leave because I’m a business owner. Definitely a lot to take in and think about. My birth plan. Well, I’d like to do it as natural as possible. I dont like the idea of a hospital birth at all, but I think a birthing center could do. I’m so new so I don’t know anything!

Home birth midwife, in network with anthem/bcbs insurance

I really want to have a home birth (but have a very discouraging partner who needs education). This is my second birth (first was in hospital). I have health plan of San Mateo and very little extra money. Having a home birth is a lifelong dream of mine and really want this for my final birth experience (want tubal ligation afterwards).

Hospital, we have Blue Cross Health Insurance, and I want to have an unmedicated birth (I had one with my first baby and plan to again.)

We had our first baby in hospital. I’d like to have second baby ideally at home if covered by insurance or hospital. Not sure of my budget, I’d like to use health insurance coverage since I pay so much for it. Birth plan is natural, least invasive, holistic. My first birth was a dream, all natural and I’d like to have a similar experience the second time.
