I will give a birth to our child at Sutter altar bates and want to see how much coverage we can get through my insurance first then we can budget for doula service. We need a help with birth plan and some first couple of weeks support. My insurance is anthem blue cross platinum.

Postpartum doula needed in Trestle Glen neighborhood of Oakland. Starts ASAP till mid-November, 2 days a week, hours flexible. Needs include household help (laundry, dishes, tidying), playing with 3-yo sibling, infant care, meal prep, occasional grocery runs. Funded through Carrot.

This is my first pregnancy, and I am planning a hospital birth in the Bay Area. I am looking for a birth doula who can educate my husband and me about our options and help me develop a birth plan based on my goals and circumstances. I have not yet decided whether I want an epidural or an unmedicated birth, so I would like someone who provides balanced, evidence-based information without pushing one particular type of birth. During labor, I would like support with breathing, relaxation, movement, different labor and pushing positions, massage, counterpressure, and other comfort techniques. I also want someone who will actively involve my husband, teach him how to support me, and help both of us remain calm and understand what is happening. It would be helpful if the doula offered prenatal meetings to practice labor positions and comfort techniques and discuss interventions such as induction, epidurals, assisted delivery, and Cesarean birth. Experience supporting hospital births, inductions, epidurals, unmedicated labor, and unexpected changes is important to me. I am also interested in pregnancy-safe exercises and pelvic-floor and birth preparation. Please let me know if this is part of your training and services, or if you collaborate with a pelvic-floor physical therapist. I am looking for someone warm, practical, nonjudgmental, and comfortable helping me ask questions and communicate my preferences to the medical team while remaining flexible if the safest plan changes.

First baby, hospital birth, managing the labor and postpartum

I’m looking for daytime postpartum doula support for my 3x month old son. I’m having surgery 11/2 and will be in hospital 1-2 days. I’m looking for someone to start when I’m discharged from hospital. We are looking for workweek help (my husband works during the week but is around on the weekend). My mother is living with us and the primary caregiver for my son. However, she will also want to care for me and I want to give her a break. We’re looking for ideally someone who can come for a few hours in the morning to take care of my son so she can take care of herself and me. We live in SF Mission Bay neighborhood. There is street parking. We don’t have any pets. My son is doing very well - happy baby that eats well and naps well during the day. He poops 1x a day. I breastfeed him once during the morning and he’s otherwise bottle fed (mix of breastmilk and formula). My budget is $2K for support during my recovery (hopefully 1-3 weeks) and I’m flexible on exact days and specific hours but I’m assuming we’ll want more help immediately post surgery and ramp down with my successful recovery (fingers crossed). I am giving birth at UCSF Mission Bay, My insurance covers up to 12 visits and labor support and I am also interested in postpartum support.

This is my 4th child I plan on having my child in a birthing center. I have and extensive birthing plan. I want medical to cover the doula.
