Hello My name is Cécile, and my husband Tim and I are expecting our first baby, a boy, in early January 2026. We are currently searching for a postpartum doula to support our family during the first two months after our son's arrival. Our primary need is for compassionate postpartum care, including both day and potentially some overnight visits to sleep support, to help us navigate this new chapter as we will be on our own until my mother comes to stay with us for a couple months. We have a Kaiser HMO plan and are specifically interested in using the doula services covered by the insurance's package. We are also interested in supplementing/ extending our support beyond the covered services for the right fit and our ideal support package. Greetings, My partner Chris and I are just starting our search for a birth doula. I have had a healthy pregnancy so far and am planning to give birth at Kaiser Oakland. I would love to find a doula who has experience with Kaiser as I understand that doulas could be covered by Kaiser. I am still developing my birth plan and hope to create this with support of a doula. What I do know is that I would be giving birth in a hospital setting, am 40 yo, this is my first childbirth, in support of an epidural, would like to avoid c-section, and am open to ideas and whatever support!

We are seeking a postpartum doula to support our family after the birth of our first baby, with specific attention to recovery from a planned C-section. The role will focus on newborn care, maternal healing, and practical household help during the early recovery period. Would love someone flexible or open to a mix of daytime or overnight shifts (to be decided based on recovery and family needs), with approximately 2/3 days per week for 6 weeks.

I’m looking for medical and emotional/spiritual support before and during birth, and support with feeding and just general questions post-birth. I would prefer an at-home birth but I am open to a birthing center. I am 37 and will be 38 at the time of birth and I’ll be a first-time mother. I plan on not using any drugs and I would prefer a tub birth with some candles and Enya and as chill as possible. My budget is pretty much nothing as I’m a returning college student.
