About me

Nyfisa C. Rabb, CD(DONA) Nyfisa C. Rabb is a native of Philadelphia. She is an alum of Temple University where she obtained her degree in Early Childhood Education. Her work as a birth worker was sparked as she assisted family and friends without support through their pregnancy and birthing experiences. This passion catapulted her into the position as the founder of Birth Ur Way! She has been a birth worker for 19 years. Nyfisa's love and passion for birth work allows her to be what she needed during her birthing experiences to others while giving selflessly of herself to help those in need. She loves the work she does and enjoys supporting her families bringing to life the plan that they have for their births. Her motto is your body, your birth, your plan. Understanding the disparities in the medical field, Nyfisa works to give knowledge to her families, so they are empowered to advocate for themselves and make informed educated evidence-based decisions for their birth. Nyfisa was absolutely fantastic at my daughter’s birth in Oct 2023. She was such a huge support to us. She taught my husband massages that he could do to help me in early labor. She was available for the first 30 hours of my early labor and was at the hospital with us all day when active labor stalled out on me. She helped me get into all sorts of positions and asked the doctor questions on my behalf (when I was so tired I hardly knew which way was up) knowing that I wanted to avoid a c-section if possible. She had no judgement around any intervention I wanted or didn’t want and I’m so grateful we had her as our doula. Even the docs (at Lankenau) asked for her info saying she was the best doula they had worked with and wanted to give her info to their other patients. Thank you Nyfisa!
