As a Doula I have the privilege of witnessing the miracle of life unfold before my eyes. I’m constantly awe of the strength and resilience of the women I support, and I feel honored to be part of their journey into motherhood. There is nothing quite like the feeling of helping a woman feel empowered and confident as she brings her baby into the world. Whether it’s providing physical comfort measures, emotional reassurance, or informational support, I love being able to make a positive impact on someone’s birth experience. From the moment I meet a client I am dedicated to helping her achieve the birth she deserves. I love watching the bond between a mother and her partner grow stronger as they prepare to meet their baby, and in the midst of the chaos and beauty of labor, I am constantly inspired by the courage and determination of the women I support. Being a Doula is not just a job it’s a calling it’s a chance to make a real difference in someone’s life and to be a part of a moment that will be etched in their memory forever I feel grateful and I’m humbled every time I get to be a part of this journey, and I can’t Imagine a more rewarding career. Hi! I’m Chels. I am a birth and postpartum doula and a photographer. This means I support your family from pregnancy through that postpartum transition into parenting a new baby. And should you choose, I will document the parts of your journey you hold most dear. As a postpartum doula, I provide overnight care where I see to baby’s every need allowing you to gain much needed rest to take on the next day. If daytime support is more what you’re needing, I can help there too. My services often include light housekeeping, meal prepping, and errands (grocery pickup, driving older siblings places, etc). Hello, my name is Reneishia McDowell I am a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Doula, and Child Birth Educator. I am a Spiritual Doula based in Memphis, TN. I provide the following services of Emotional, Physical, and Mental support during, before, and/or after birth. On my journey in the medical field, I've always wanted to deliver babies and "be the first person a baby sees when they enter the world." After having my own personal experience of a natural birth, I felt that the next time it would be in the comfort of my own home or birthing center. My birth was by far the most beautiful experience. Although, I delivered in a hospital, having a natural birth made me feel superior, strong, and confident. I want to make a difference with women that would love to have a natural water birth their way. Here at Empathetic Hands LLC, you the client is in charge of how you would want your pregnancy to be. I am here to support you throughout your journey. I will be there to assure you throughout your entire experience and I will make sure it's magically relaxing. Be apart of the experience, not the one asking about it🫶🏽💞 **TO REACH ME DIRECTLY EMAIL ME: empathetichandsllc@gmail.com ‼️‼️‼️**

Hey! My name is Jasmine Williams--I am a mommy to a lively 4 year old 1 year old and a wife of 5 years to my incredible husband! I began my journey to motherhood in 2018. During my first pregnancy, I experienced a miscarriage, then became pregnant again in the summer of 2019. When I got pregnant again, I knew that I needed to have emotional and physical support if I wanted to have the pregnancy and birth experience that I desired. My doula was everything I needed and more! Not only did she change my birth experience, but she also changed my life. I immediately knew that I was being called to be a birth and postpartum doula. I believe that, with the proper support, every person CAN do anything they put their mind and energy into. As your doula, I want to encourage you to take back YOUR right to be heard, empowered and supported before, during, and after birth! Trained by Doula Training International

Shalom! My name is ChayilYah Segulah and it means capable women of God and His hidden Treasure! My doula journey started 10 years ago when one of my sisters needed support during her birth journey. She didn't have any support and needed someone to advocate her needs, help her express her fears and to walk her through a new birth. I began studying ways that I could help and ways to answer the questions she didn't understand. My Philosophy Sisterhood~ Village~ Shalom (Peace) This is my philosophy! Birth is ordained and designed to be a normal, natural process that your body was perfectly and wonderfully made to experience. My desire as your birth sister is to support you in a way that allows and encourages you to achieve your goals and desires for birth. I would love to become a part of your village.

I have a passion for community assistance ever since I have knowledge. I remember as a little girl helped the elders after school at only 9 years old. As years passed me passion for helping our community grew stronger. So I began my journey in the medical field as a RMA in the OB GYN specialty. I still felt that I can do more for my community and one day in bible study a lady I met called herself a Doula and I asked what is a doula and once she explained to me what a Doula is I immediately looked into it and it was an instant match for me. I was already working with moms and babies but being even more close to my clients and the community was an extraordinary feeling of accomplishment. I got certify as a Doula Business Owner, Lactation consultant, Birth Doula, Holistic nutrition, placenta encapsulation specialist all to be an all in one package for my clients. I strongly believe that it lessens the stress when a doula can carry multiple specialties needed to avoid referring and the client to be seeing multiple appointments in a day. I strongly believed that aliviaron the amount of appointments and be less overwhelming for the clients. I look forward to being your birth doula.

Have you ever visited a foreign country where the primary language was different from your own? On a trip to Europe my family was privileged to take in 2016. I sure learned the value of a native tour guide on that tour when our family got separated from the group. A doula has training and experience in labor and birth, is prepared to act as a support person for you and your primary partner through the transition to parenthood, and will serve you both as an experienced tour guide would if you decided to visit a foreign country. What does it mean to have me as your doula? It means you have had the opportunity to prepare for your birth by asking questions, receiving solid resources to address those questions and practicing comfort measures. It means you have someone who knows you and your partner and is dedicated to being with you for your labor and birth. It means that you have people by your side for birth who fully understand your preferences because we’re going to be sure we are on the same page before your labor begins.

“I found my birth doula on Bornbir. After submitting my needs, I was able to connect with several awesome doulas that are within a local distance from me.”
“Bornbir is a powerful network. It makes connecting with maternal providers so much easier. It means supporting one another through this parenthood journey, no matter what stage you are in.”
