Service introduction

My favorite way to describe doula support is, "mothering the mother". So often, the parents are overlooked in the process of welcoming a baby. I founded Queen of Cups to change that. Caring for families during the most exciting but also most vulnerable time in their lives is my calling. My job is to leave a family feeling better than when I arrived by providing emotional and physical support, education, information, and resources. I'm currently offering postpartum support.

Packages
Daytime Postpartum Support
Every visit with your postpartum doula is different, and it's based entirely on what you need. Some days, it's someone to hold your baby while you finally get a shower or a much-needed nap. Other days, it's a long talk about your adjustment to parenthood and your mental health. Maybe you need help learning a perfect swaddle, or someone to fold the laundry that you can't find time for. Many times, it's all of the above! Postpartum doulas are experts at finding the missing pieces in your support plan, and gently filling them in.

We hired Nikki as our postpartum doula for our first child, four weeks of nights and six weeks of days. Simply put, she was indispensable for new parents with no family in the area. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, so careful with our little one, and gave us both rest and peace of mind. If you are thinking about hiring a kind, thoughtful postpartum doula, Nikki is great

Found Nikki while searching for doulas servicing SCV. Out of all the doulas that reached out to speak to me, she was the only one that sent me her actual informational packets and was transparent with her services/packages, which I thought was so so helpful during my search! I was planning to have a hospital birth and had already had a midwife, so was looking for support during labor as well as someone to help support my husband as well. Nikki has so many resources to share and always helped me feel well informed. I appreciated that she was always making sure I knew the risks and benefits of everything and explained procedures and terminology when they weren’t clear. My birth went nothing as planned, but I still felt so so confident with each of my decisions and Nikki was a big part in being there to emotionally support me and my husband as well as provide info as needed. She was fantastic with showing my husband how to implement coping techniques to help me through labor and just always knew how to help me cope even before I knew what to do next. She was always very respectful and encouraging, and supported me in ways I could not even think of. I highly recommend Nikki for doula services again once I grow our family in the future!

Nikki was our birth and postpartum doula and she was such a pleasure to work with! We would absolutely recommend her to anyone. She is organized, calm, responsive, and such a wonderful resource when it comes to sorting out all of the information available about pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and newborn care. She was a massive help during our postpartum visits, and took the time to answer all of our first time parent questions (no matter how small). She even taught us how to properly tie our Solly wrap, setting us up for baby wearing success. Hire her!
