Qualifications & Registration Nichola graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2012 with a Master of Nutrition and Dietetic degree. She is registered with the following professional bodies; HCPC and the British Dietetic Association BDA. Experience She is an experienced Dietitian, having worked for more than 9 years in the NHS. She has a wide range of clinical experience, knowledge and skills predominantly within gastroenterology and cancer. Expertise Nichola provides advice and support for health conditions such as Diverticular Disease, IBS, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, gastric & colorectal cancer. Nichola knows the importance of how good nutrition can improve health, manage symptoms, improve quality of life and positively impact mental health. Nichola has undertaken further training at Monash University in the use of a low FODMAP diet for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Further Work She is passionate about enabling people to overcome critical illness and support them through treatment. More recently Nichola has been involved in enhancing peoples' nutritional status through Covid-19 rehabilitation. Additionally, she has extensive experience of working within cardiovascular health both prevention and recovery. Nichola currently works as a private Dietitian in Nottingham. Consultations We offer face to face appointments both online, as video consultations, or from our Nottingham clinic. Initial Consultation Initial consultations are 60 minutes and comprise of; A comprehensive nutritional assessment, medical history, advice and a tailored dietary report. Supporting dietary literature, to support the suggested plan, if appropriate. Liaising with other medical or therapy professionals, if appropriate. Taking anthropometric measurements such as height, weight or hand grip strength. Prior to your appointment we request that you complete a small questionnaire and we may ask you to keep a food and symptom diary for dietary analysis. A check in telephone call or email to find out how you are progressing. Follow-up We offer a range of tailored follow up appointments and packages depending on your preference and needs. Reviews can be face to face, by video conference or by telephone. Follow up sessions can be discussed at your initial consultation and tailored accordingly.
