My plan is to give birth in a hospital. This is my second pregnancy and birth. For my first, i had an unmedicated birth in a hospital. I plan for my second to be similar. With my first I had my husband as my support person. This time he is deployed and may not be back for the birth so I would like a doula to be sure I have someone to lean on in the labor and delivery room during the birthing process.

Ideally I wanted a home birth but the cost was out of our budget this time around. So a Hospital birth is the plan, natural, minimal hospital interventions, and I want to have a professional there that is comfortable advocating for us during the times we want to enjoy birth. We want long golden hour, the baby to stay in the room the entire time, no bath, no pulling on the placenta, and a few other things.

Scripps memorial La Jolla is the hospital I will deliver at. Attempting vbac after short umbilical cord lead to c-section with first labor. Estimated budget is around 2k, ideally under. I would love to labor at home as much as possible and utilize natural pain management in order to to prolong the epidural as long as possible ( last time I got it at 6 centimeters).

I’m in a bit of a unique situation, as I’ll be PCS’ing from Hawaii to Point Loma at the end of April 2026, which means I’ll be transferring care mid-pregnancy. Because of this transition, I’m hoping to connect early and thoughtfully with a midwifery practice that can help make the move as smooth and supported as possible. I’m very interested in pursuing a home birth and learning about the best options for a natural first birth. hospital birth, 1st baby, vaginal birth. I am looking for a doula to provide guidance and advocacy leading up to and during the birth. We are looking for someone who is empathetic, science background, and can support me and my husband to work in partnership with our medical team. I appreciate guidance especially as I hope to avoid epidural where possible but I am also petite so thoughtful support throughout to have a safe birth. Sharp Hospital Chula Vista $5000 Natural birth

I plan to give birth at Sharp Mary Birch, San Diego, CA. I would like to have a doula with me during labor and postpartum at the hospital and at home for about two weeks so I can recover well. I'll need the doula to take care of my postpartum needs especially with my food/nutrition so that I can produce enough breastmilk. I haven't worked out my birth plan yet but going for a natural/unmedicated birth for sure.
