Second baby with a goal to have an unmedicated birth with the UCSD midwives at Jacobs Medical Center. I had an uncomplicated first pregnancy but dealt with a lot of medical anxiety during labor and delivery, which in part led to a very long labor in the hospital. I worked with volunteer doulas for my first but would love to have one in advance this time around to have support before birth and in laboring at home. I have Blue Shield of CA, PPO.

I plan to give birth in the Balboa Navy medical hospital. My budget is on the lower side. Birth plan would be calm environment, only my doula, husband, and limited amount of doctors in the room. No student doctors. No episiotomy (unless medically recommended and/or justified), no male doctors, I do have questions about pitocin if the time comes, would like a epidural but birthing position to be hands and knees. I would also like a delayed cord cutting and deliver the placenta on its own time. We would also like my husband to catch the baby and cut the cord.

I have had two pregnancies, both of which ended in TFMR due to toxoplasmosis. We are hopeful to have our third pregnancy end with a healthy child in our arms. My husband is from Nicaragua and I am from California. I am looking for a Latina doula who can understand some of his cultural background and make him feel comfortable and empowered to help me as my birth partner. I would love to have an unmedicated birth, but truly I just want my baby in my arms and however that happens will be fine by me. I am a personal trainer and physically strong, but this will be my first live birth experience.

We are in San Diego, and my wife is looking for a doula. This is my wife’s first time, but this will be my second (we coparent). hospital birth hoping for unmedicated, budget ranges

I plan to give birth at Sharp Mary birch hospital. $1-3k is my estimated budget. I’m interested in your out of pocket fees within my budget for night nannies. For my birth plan, Epidural if needed but would like to do natural since I had back pain after my first baby 2023 using it. I struggled with post baby blues after my first baby and am looking for the support for night time care. Also interested in a doula if it is within my budget.

Unmedicated birth, birthing in San Diego in the birthing center at UCSD. Would like to get through labor as calm, supported and educated on each position per cm dilated, my birthing plan and as I can. I have a husband that is very involved and wants to be a part of the process every step and wants help with how to best support me during birth. I do not want pitosin, and I would like minimal interventions as long as everything is healthy. I don't want them to rush me, break my water synthetically, take my baby away from my sight, or cut the cord early. I want to delay Vitamin K shot and maybe get the oral kind if I struggle with breast feeding. I am open to education and will be receptive to evidence based information that is mixed with experience.
