About me

My name is Natalie Truong, I am a DONA International trained professional birth doula, serving the Twin Cities area. My passion for childbirth evolved with the ongoing fascination with how incredible the human body is and it’s ability to do hard things. My background in coaching competitive swimming and program training allows me to use a physiological and psychological approach to assist birthing people. These training parallels are what I now use to support individuals through childbirth. My doula experience includes joining families in a variety of birthing places which include hospitals, free standing birth centers, and home births with the support of midwives. Most importantly I'm inspired to improve how people feel through their birthing experience. Your voice matters and how you are treated while bringing life into the world matters. Outside the world of birth, you'll find me surrounded by my four kiddos. I’m a foodie that loves to explore various cuisines and enjoy trying to recreate my favorite restaurant entrees with my husband. I'm a people person who loves to sit down and hear about who you are and where you've been. I live for Minnesota season change but patiently wait each year for the snow to melt so our family can splash in the pool.

Although the popularly desired outcome is 'healthy mother, healthy baby,' I think there is room in that equation for 'happy non-traumatized, empowered, and elated mother and baby.' -Ashley Booth Young
