About me

Hi, I’m Nadine Kennedy, and I’m so glad you’re here. If you're preparing to welcome a baby or already holding your little one in your arms please know you don’t have to figure it all out alone. As a certified Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist (NCS), and Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), I’m here to offer gentle, personalized support during this tender season of transition. I understand the beauty and the chaos that can come with early parenthood, and I’m here to help you feel more confident, more rested, and fully supported as you navigate it all. My care is rooted in compassion, respect, and a deep belief in your ability to parent well. I show up with warmth, a listening ear, and practical help for everything from breastfeeding and bottle feeding to sleep routines and emotional recovery. I adapt to your style and needs sometimes that means quietly supporting in the background, and sometimes it means stepping in with clarity and direction. And if what you need is a strong hand to guide you through the tough or uncertain moments, I’m that person too. My goal is to walk alongside you in whatever way serves you best calmly, confidently, and with your unique journey in mind. You were never meant to do this alone, and I’d be honored to be part of your support team as you begin this sacred new chapter.

As your Postpartum Doula, my mission is to support you through the joys and challenges of early motherhood with reassurance, empathy, and expertise. Here’s how I can assist you: Emotional Support: I'll be there to listen to your concerns, offer encouragement, and guide you through the tender moments of adjusting to life with a new baby. For example, I can provide a listening ear when you're feeling overwhelmed or uncertain about your parenting journey. Breastfeeding Support: Breastfeeding can be challenging, so I'm here to offer gentle guidance on latching, soothing techniques, burping, and diapering. If you're experiencing difficulties, I can demonstrate proper latching techniques and provide tips to improve comfort and efficiency. Household Assistance: Daily chores can pile up quickly, especially with a newborn. I can assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping to ease your workload. For instance, I can prepare nutritious meals that cater to your dietary needs and preferences, ensuring you have nourishing food ready to enjoy. Errand Support: Running essential errands like grocery shopping can be time-consuming. I can take care of these tasks so you can focus on bonding with your baby and resting. For example, I can pick up groceries and other necessities, ensuring your home is stocked with essentials without you having to leave. Partner Guidance: Your partner plays a crucial role in supporting you and bonding with the baby. I can offer guidance on how they can effectively support you during this transition. For instance, I can provide tips on soothing techniques and encourage bonding activities such as skin-to-skin contact. Community Connections: Building a support network is important. I can connect you with local resources and support groups where you can find camaraderie and valuable advice from other parents going through similar experiences. Self-Care Education: Your well-being matters. I'll provide tips on rest, gentle exercises, and nutrition to help you regain your strength and energy. For example, I can suggest relaxation techniques and easy exercises you can do at home to promote physical and mental wellness. Sibling and Pet Adjustment: If you have older children or pets, I can help them adjust to the new addition to the family. I can suggest activities to involve them in caring for the baby or pet, fostering a harmonious environment for everyone. Baby Wearing Assistance: Choosing the right baby carrier can enhance bonding and comfort. I'll assist you in selecting a carrier that fits well and is comfortable for both you and your baby. For example, I can demonstrate different types of carriers and help you find the perfect fit. Sleep Coaching: Sleep is crucial for your well-being and your baby's development. I can provide guidance on establishing healthy sleep routines and offer techniques to promote restful sleep for both you and your baby.
