Birth Doula
Portland, Oregon
About me

I am a birth doula serving the Portland, OR metro area. My passion is making sure birthing people feel supported, respected, and informed so they can make whatever decisions are right for them. I approach birthwork through a non-judgmental, trauma-informed lens. Birth can be one of the most vulnerable times in a person's life, so building a trusting relationship with my clients and helping create a peaceful birth environment is essential to my work. In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my dog, baking legendary banana bread, writing, swimming in the ocean, and making art of all kinds. Service introduction

I am available for unlimited text/email support (this could be questions, updates on how you’re doing, test results, etc) and 24/7 emergency phone support. We will meet twice before your birth to discuss coping techniques, your birth preferences, childbirth education, any past birth experience(s), and any other questions/topics that come up. Once you get to 38 weeks, I go on call. I stay on call until you go into active labor, at which point I will join you at your home, the hospital, or the birth center. I stay throughout your entire birth, providing emotional, physical, and informational support. After your baby is born, I will stay for 1-2 hours while everyone gets settled. We will have an in-home visit approximately one week after the birth of your baby. During this visit, I will check in about feeding and sleeping, help you process your birth if you are ready, answer any questions you have about postpartum life, help with light housekeeping/cooking, and refer you to local resources as needed. After our visit, I am available to answer questions via phone/text up until 6 weeks after you give birth.
