About me

I am Maya (they/them/theirs), a full-spectrum doula and care worker in Providence, RI. I am a certified perinatal doula (CPD) and in-network with most RI based medical insurances! I offer prenatal care, labor & delivery support and postpartum support to folks of all genders and family structures. Abortion support has become a central part of my offerings in the last year. My practice is trauma informed and driven by consent. ZiZ Care aims to hold people in their wholeness and meet folks where they are at. My approach is one that has been shaped by years as a care-worker as well as a lifetime of living as a queer, trans and disabled person. Thanks for being here!

Service introduction

I am a full-spectrum doula and support pregnant people who are seeking care prenatally, through labor & delivery, abortion experiences and postpartum. My care is trauma-informed and driven by communication and consent. My support includes emotional care, somatic practices, processing emotions and transitions, advocacy in medical spaces and adjusting to new dynamics. Most of my time with clients takes place in medical settings or in the homes of the people I work with. The support I offer is partially covered by insurance and I try to incorporate accessible approaches to all my doula offerings. I work within all kinds of family structures, genders and abilities; this is important to me both because of my own lived experience as queer, trans and disabled person and also knowing there is a gap in comprehensive care for my communities. I'm here to talk about all the ways I can tailor my support to best show up for you!
