About me
Hi Friends! My name is Marlo Knight and I am a certified postpartum doula and certified postpartum nutrition specialist. I am located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I love supporting families during the magical and sleep deprived first weeks of their baby's life! I absolutely love what I do and do it with my whole heart. I am always looking to bring a sense of peace and calm to the homes I am invited into and I strive to create a judgement free space for parents to ask questions and express themselves freely. As a mother of 3 and a grandmother I bring with me lots of experience in nurturing little ones and their mamas. I can't wait to get acquainted with you! In my free time I enjoy my volunteer work, cooking (my love language), wine tasting with my best guy, family time with my girls and their families, and naps with my cat.

I offer both day and overnight postpartum support. Support may include but is not limited to: Breastfeeding Support: I offer breastfeeding knowledge, support, and assistance with breastfeeding Infant Care and Education: Change diapers, help with naps, and feedings, soothing techniques Provide resources: Connect families with other services, like lactation consultants or birthing classes Help with household tasks: Do light cleaning, like organizing the nursery, laundry, and tidying up, cleaning and sanitizing bottles and pump parts Help with emotional recovery: Provide reassurance and support for new parents Help with physical recovery: Provide physical support for moms recovering from a cesarean

We strongly and warmly recommend Marlo as a postpartum doula. She has been an immense help and support for the past 10 weeks with our second baby. From Marlo’s very first day with us, it has been obvious not only that she has experience and expertise with newborns, but also that she truly loves her job and cares deeply for the babies she watches over. We trust her entirely to care for baby boy, and we have even learned new methods for soothing and caring for him from Marlo. Marlo has also done an incredible job integrating herself seamlessly into our home routines, and she truly goes above and beyond to make herself helpful. For example, Marlo has worked closely and collaboratively with Mom so that Mom can continue breastfeeding baby boy but also maximize her sleep on the nights that Marlo is with us. Marlo also often finds ways to be helpful around the house even without being asked. And she has been so warm and friendly throughout our time together that it truly feels like she is another family member who belongs in our home when she is here. Any other family with a newborn would be lucky to work with Marlo.

Marlo is more than a provider for us, she's family. We first employed Marlo as a doula after unexpected complications with my son's birth made recovery quite difficult. She was so reliable and instantly connect with our son! She eventually helped our family as a nanny and really became an essential part of our care system.
