About Maria

As a nurse for 17 years and a lactation consultant (IBCLC) for 6 years, I want to partner with you in your health and breastfeeding journey wherever that will lead you. When you work with me, you work with someone that gets it, has lived it, and understands the stress and demands of motherhood and being a woman. Mental health is the driving force of my practice and it’s in the forefront of my mind as we tackle together the struggles of breastfeeding because at the end of the day, your mental health matters most and fed is best whatever that looks like for you and your family. I’m here to walk you through this journey.

Follow-Up Service (up to 60 mins)

Follow-Up to previous issue(s) is tailored to the issues we are working with and could include but not limited to: * weighted feeds * weight check * frenotomy follow-up * craniosacral therapy follow-up * milk supply follow-up * breast issues * poor latch

Virtual Lactation Service

This service is a great option for those that have questions or want a latch check or are trying to get the baby to take the bottle. If you are uncertain whether or not a virtual appointment is right for your situation, message or text me and we can figure it out. And if a virtual appointment ever needs to change into an in-home visit, you will only pay the difference. VIRTUAL VISITS ARE GREAT FOR PRENATAL CLIENTS!!

In-home lactation service

60-minute in-home service includes: * full medical history for mom and baby * weights for baby - naked weight (if desired) and weighted feed (if applicable) * full oral/suction assessment for baby - the lips, tongue, and suction are KEY in breastfeeding. Most of the issues during breastfeeding is an oral issue * referrals to specialists and recommendations for position changes, feeding schedules, weaning, pumping, supplements, and whatever else you would like me to tackle * After Visit Summary is sent to you and medical documentation can be faxed to any doctor * Text access - you will have access to me as long as you need it. This is like having a LACTATION CONSULTANT IN YOUR POCKET whenever you have questions, concerns or thoughts. You can text me at ANY time of day.

What to expect

I don’t directly bill insurance but I can send you a superbill and most insurances do cover my services.

Maria was extremely helpful and thorough when our appointment came! Even before, she was able to answer my questions and provide feedback before we met. Recommended us to some great resources for dental and chiropractic care. Also had a great perspective from her own experience which I value cause i find it hard to describe certain feelings to someone who hasn’t breastfed before so that was really helpful!
