I promise to provide you with all of the information you will need to make well-informed decisions for your labor, birth, breastfeeding, the postpartum period and early parenting. I believe that all women have the right to have satisfying births, gained by making informed birth choices. I am passionate about promoting not only natural birth, but informed birth choices primarily because of my own birth experiences. I freely discuss my own experiences in many of the classes I teach and will provide you with all of the information you'll need to make well-informed choices for your own labor and birth. I am committed to providing evidence-based information only, therefore, my classes will NOT be anti physician, anti medical interventions or anti pain relief, (I promise!) however, I will provide you with information about safe, evidence-based alternatives you may wish to consider. Any decisions you make regarding your pre-natal care or your birth should be discussed with your care provider. I became a Certified Breastfeeding Educator after a beautiful, 17 month breastfeeding relationship with my youngest daughter Rebecca. After sharing my birth stories with many of the new and expectant moms I came into contact with, I realized that providing them with helpful birth information could be life-changing for them (and for me!), and I pursued childbirth educator certifications first with Cascade Christian Childbirth Association in 2011 and most recently with Lamaze International in 2013. I am in awe of the birth process and how women are perfectly designed to birth and feed their babies. It has been a privilege and a joy to share the knowledge I've gained with the families who have attended my classes.
