What is a birthkeeper, and how is it different from a doula?
A birthkeeper is a guide, witness, and supporter of your sacred birthing journey—holding not only physical space, but spiritual, emotional, and energetic space as well. While similar to a doula in many ways, I incorporate holistic practices, ancestral wisdom, and Source-led care into my support. It’s about honoring birth as ceremony, not just a medical event.
What areas do you serve?
I currently serve the greater Fort Worth, TX area for in-person support. Virtual support is available for mamas everywhere. Travel for birth work may be possible with advance notice and an added fee.
When should I book your services?
The sooner, the better! Ideally in your first or second trimester so we have time to build a trusting relationship and prepare your birth vision together. However, I do accept late pregnancy bookings based on availability.
Do you attend hospital births?
While it is not my preference and I will always communicate that.. Yes, I do. I support home births, birth center births, and hospital births. My role is to support you, wherever and however you choose to birth. I do not replace your care provider—I walk beside you to keep you grounded, informed, and aligned.
Can you support unassisted/freebirth?
Yes. I honor every mama’s sovereignty and will support your vision with care, honesty, and safety in mind. Let’s discuss your intentions and explore if we are aligned in that space.
Do you accept payment plans or alternative forms of exchange?
Yes, beloved. Depending on the birth package you may choose, a deposit secures your place, and payment plans are available. I also honor community reciprocity and may consider barter or alternative exchange where mutually beneficial. Let's talk.
What if I go into labor unexpectedly or early?
From 37 weeks onward, I remain on call and fully available for your birth. If labor begins earlier or unexpectedly, I will do my best to support you or refer you to a trusted backup within my birthkeeper circle.
What does spiritual integration support include?
This may look like guided meditations, breathwork, altar work, ritual preparation, birth affirmations, or intuitive womb dialogue. We tap into Source, your ancestors, and your inner knowing to create a spiritual container for your journey.
Do you offer postpartum support?
Absolutely. Postpartum is sacred. I offer customized postpartum visits for healing, emotional processing, light house support, nourishment, herbal healing, and simply holding space for you to be as you transition into this new chapter.
What if I’m not “spiritual” or don’t relate to some of the language you use?
That’s okay, love. I meet you where you are. While I am spirit-led and energetically intuitive, my deepest priority is your comfort and empowerment. We can focus more on practical birth support, or create a blend that feels good for you.
