About Maliha

Peace. My name is Maliha Ansari. I am a full spectrum certified Doula and Childbirth Educator. My compassion will support you emotionally, physically and psychologically at different stages of motherhood- Prepartum, Birth and Postpartum. I want to empower and educate mothers, daughters, husbands and loved ones and anyone who want to learn about birth. I am a mother of two energetic boys whom I home educate, and a wife of a loving and supportive husband. I enjoy exploring and connecting to nature, swimming, reading, cooking and gardening. I am always finding ways to grow holistically.

POSTPARTUM CARE

3 visits of 90 minutes each within 3 weeks of birth). Choose 2 services of your choice per visit: •Mother's Head Oil Massage •Baby Bath •Baby massage •Food preparation •Meal train setup •Light cleaning •Laundry and Folding •Babysitting for infant or sibling •Grocery Shopping If there is a service not mentioned here and you want to request one, please discuss. FULL SPECTRUM DOULA

- 2 Prenatal Meet ups (120 minutes/session once a week) •Woman Physiology and Nutrition during Pregnancy & Birth •Prenatal Exercises •Overview of Labor & Birth •Role of hormones and labor progression •Selfcare & Intuition during Labor & Birth •Pain coping skills in labor: Mindful/Deep Breathing, Birthing Positions, Exercises, Tools and Props. •Practice Labor Simulation •Minimizing Medical Interference & Complications •Provide evidence based information in order to make informed decisions. •After birth self-care & baby-proofing your marriage •Baby Care & Nursing •Rights of a Muslim Child - Adhan, Tahneek, Circumcision - Birth Doula at Home, Birthing Center or Hospital (Continuous 20 hours presence with 3 hours of break in between) •Emotional and Physical Support to you and your family. •Assist in pain using mindful, focused and deep breathing/ exercises/ birthing positions/ massage. •Provide continuous encouragement and reassurance. - Postpartum Care (2 visits of 60 minutes each within 2 weeks of birth).
