I am Cherish Leemon, owner and founder of Cherish Doulaship. I am a biblically minded Christian, military spouse, and mother to three amazing children. My goal with Cherish Doulaship is to serve others the way Jesus Christ has called us to and to bring knowledge and joy back into the birthing space. After experiencing a traumatic birth with my first child, I began to research traumatic birth prevention and educate myself in the birthing process. I didn’t want to birth in fear again. Little did I know this research would propel me into a passionate career as a birth worker. I finished my Birth and Postpartum Doula certifications in 2017 and have continued education by earning a degree in Woman’s Studies with a major in Diversity Studies. As a birth and postpartum doula I realize that birthing women need to feel supported and valued, they need to feel heard and comforted.
