Hello! I plan to give birth at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. My budget for a birth doula is under $2,000. If circumstances and my body allows it, I hope to an unmediated birth, which is I think a birth doula is essential.

I plan on giving birth in a hospital (Cedars-Sinai). We have not fully developed our birth plan yet, although we are hoping to have a vaginal birth (open to medication, i.e., epidural). We are primarily looking for support on how to best care for the baby after birth, but would be open to a doula for the actual delivery to ensure there is sufficient support. For a postpartum doula, it would be helpful to access them part-time during the day throughout the week and/or weekend, and we are open to varying frequency. We have not developed a budget yet, but as a rough estimate we are looking for anyone around $50/hour or lower, although we are open to other pricing if necessary.
