About me

My desire is to quietly and gently come alongside parents as you welcome your newborn into your families. I can provide emotional support to assist with the transitions of the postpartum period and having a new baby. Encouragement, a listening ear and practical help in your home will be offered. I’ll hold your baby so that you can bathe and/or rest, be a safe person you can share your concerns with and offer informational support - all in a judgment-free loving manner. A comforting meal, changing your sheets and doing some laundry are a few of the ways I can help you. My hope is that the care I give feels much like a professional grandma or Loli.

Service introduction

What a shift looks like depends on what you, the client, desire most that particular day. One day you might want help learning how to wear your baby in a carrier and for me to tidy the kitchen. Another day you might want to take a long shower while I cuddle/feed/care for the baby. Fresh sheets, dishes cleared, lunch cooked, or laundry folded while we visit are all options. My desire is to support you in your roll of mama and create space for you to bond with your baby.

Did we hire the real Mary Poppins? It sure felt that way when Lori came to help after our daughter was born. Lori was so kind and considerate and knowledgeable that we had no trouble at all trusting her to take care of our little one in these sleep-deprived early days. Not only did Lori make sure I got the sleep I needed, she also gave us advice and assistance with any questions we had about best practices and ways to soothe our baby when she was having some feeding issues. Lori also cooked and cleaned and organized like magic every day she was here. It helped tremendously to have hot meals to eat and leftovers to heat up when I needed that kind of support. The biggest downside is that once she's there, you'll never want her to leave! I couldn't recommend Lori enough for anyone who needs help with their baby.

I love Lori! She is such an amazing woman. Lori was a great emotional support during my postpartum. She listened to all of my concerns and made me feel heard and understood. All the questions I had for her, she was able to answer and answer accurately. Lori helped me feel confident about taking care of my newborn. Thank you for everything you had done for our family. You are a true blessing.
