I just recently gave birth on 12/30 and am looking for a lactation specialist immediately to help with latching. I am successfully producing milk (about 2-3 ounces per 3 hours). My nipples were unfortunately damaged when we first initially breastfed in the hospital so I’ve been healing. We have tried to latch a couple times since Friday but my baby’s latch is shallow and pinching/painful. I breastfed my first child who is now 4 and a half for 19 months. It took my first child about 5 weeks to get breastfeeding down successfully. We have United Healthcare insurance so would be happy to use that if not we can pay out of pocket.
