Lisa Gendron (pronouns she/her) is Agroterra Birth. She has been a doula since 2007 and worked extensively with families in pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Lisa is a Certified Professional Midwife and Licensed Midwife in the State of Rhode Island, A Certified Birth Doula (Childbirth International), and Birthing From Within® Mentor. She is the mother of three children, a queer person, an artist, a passionate community advocate for midwifery, fungi hunter and lover of all growing things. A long-time board member of The Rhode Island Birth Network, Co-founder of the RI Home Birth Collective, a community organizer with RI Friends of Midwives, and other community grassroots organizations, Lisa has been deeply invested in the birth community in her state. She has recently joined the NACPM Board as Secretary and is working toward accessible midwifery care throughout the US and internationally. Committed to access for all families- Lisa works with income-based fees and in all her work strives to increase access to information, midwifery and advocacy for people. ALL people seeking midwifery care are welcome in Lisa’s practice.
