I am a Denver area Certified Professional Doula, specializing in prenatal education, labor and delivery support and comfort measures. My journey to becoming a Doula began in 2014 when I was blessed with my own amazing daughter, and ever since I’ve been fueled by passion to help other birthing people feel empowered by their own experience, access evidence based resources, and make best decisions for their own unique process. I also have a background in psychology (BA Metro State 2012), and as a family law paralegal (Certification 2017). My education and professional background have equipped me with a broad range of experience to serve a wide variety of family dynamics. The journey to becoming a parent, no matter the process, whether it’s your first or fifth, is fascinating and so powerful, and deserves the utmost care and understanding. If you, or someone you love is seeking Doula support through the pregnancy, labor, and delivery journey, my most heartfelt congratulations, and I would love to meet you!

Working with Leah and having her there for the birth of our first child was amazing. I’m so glad that we looked into having the support of a doula before and during our birth as it made the experience so much better in multiple ways. We interviewed Leah before selecting her to be our doula. She met with us at our home before the birth to discuss the process and answer all our questions. She was available via text and phone before the birth to address any questions we had. We were in communication with Leah once we went to the hospital and when labor began she quickly got to our side. I had a long birth and Leah stuck with us the entire 35+ hrs. She kept us informed and advocated for my care the entire time. During the difficult parts of my labor she offered options and advice to help make me more comfortable and get me through the contractions. During the less stressful parts of labor she stayed by my side and helped with different positions. Leah took photos and videos to document the most special moment of our lives, which gave us the opportunity to take in all the special moments. We were so glad to have Leah by our side through this process and would recommend her services to anyone interested in having a doula for their birth.

Hiring Leah to help with the birth of my second child was the best decision! I’m so grateful that I had her expertise and support during pregnancy and delivery. Leah was super professional every step of the way while also providing a warm and comforting presence, whether that was by text before the birth or in person during. When I was in early labor at home, she texted with me the whole time, giving me words of encouragement as well as helpful pain management tips. I didn’t have a doula when I delivered my first, and having Leah’s help in the hospital this time around made for a completely different, much more relaxed experience. She took care of us while still respecting our autonomy and decisions. She’s super knowledgeable and I felt so much more at ease with her guiding us through the process. I can’t imagine having done this without her and can’t recommend her enough.

Leah was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process, both pre and post partum. She is extremely educated and was able to answer all of my and my husband’s questions during our pregnancy. Additionally, Leah was kind, supportive of our values and needs, always available, and extremely helpful during the labor process- from her amazing massages during the transitional phase (which were a life saver as it was rather painful) to her always making sure my lips were moisturized :). We are forever grateful! Thank you Leah :) Hugs, Casey & Brian

Leah was such a great help for my husband and I with our first baby. We loved having someone in the room with us the whole time that could tell us what to do to help us through labor. Our doctor suggested a few things that we didn’t want to do right away, like pitocin and breaking water. Leah helped us think through our options and voice what we wanted. She was so helpful and very professional! We would definitely use her again in the future.

Leah was amazing. She was really wonderful at hearing our concerns and making sure she was on the same page with what we wanted and needed. When our plan went sideways 6 or 7 times, she rolled with it and, more importantly, helped us roll with it. When I ended up having to go in for a c section, she helped advocate to make sure she was able to be in the OR to support me while my husband was able to focus on the baby, which meant so much to both of us.

As a pregnant person, I had heard of doulas but didn't really understand how they fit into labor and delivery care. My husband and I got to talk with Leah about how a doula could help and she was informative, kind and thoughtful in what she shared with us and how she answered our questions. One of my main concerns was handling the pain of labor and Leah took the time to explain in a way that I could understand and process, making things feel much less scary. She made me feel capable and competent. I had a positive birth experience overall, I was mentally able to manage the pain and not panic because of the help I received from Leah in remembering that contractions come in waves (like a Hiit workout ☺).
