Rooted in her academic prowess and driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference, her story is a testament to her unyielding dedication. Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Science-Nutrition and Foods, Kyna embarked on her career as a Nutritionist for the Woman Infant and Children Program (WIC) in 2003. It was within this role that her passion for helping babies and mothers ignited, as she provided breastfeeding counseling and taught essential breastfeeding classes. Earning her stripes as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant in 2009, Kyna's commitment to excellence shone bright. Her career took her to the neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) in the Austin area, where she supported parents and their precious newborns during vulnerable times. In 2012, Kyna brought her expertise to The Woman’s Hospital of Texas (TWHT), where she played a pivotal role in shaping breastfeeding training for the nursing staff, a critical step towards achieving the Baby-Friendly (BFHI) designation. Her contributions exemplified her dedication to fostering successful breastfeeding practices.

I offer comprehensive prenatal and postpartum services to support breastfeeding success. Expecting parents can benefit from breastfeeding education through group classes, private consultations, or virtual sessions. Postpartum services include in-patient, home, and office visits, with specialized care for issues like tongue-tie, bottle feeding challenges, and breastfeeding difficulties. Additionally, I provide guidance on breastfeeding nutrition, infant reflux, and allergy management. My services extend to breast pump consultations, bodywork, photobiomodulation therapy, and weaning support. Virtual consultations are available via a HIPAA-compliant platform, and I offer ongoing care through classes, support groups, and sleep consultations for new parents.
