About me

Kristen’s passion for all things pregnancy, birth and parenthood began in 2008 when she had her first baby. Since then, she has become a mother of two, a yoga teacher, health coach, full spectrum doula, and lactation consultant. Kristen has a diverse range of experience having attended over 100 births in many different hospitals since completing her doula training with Birth Matters in 2020. She is honored to be invited to support you on your journey no matter where you come from or what your family looks like. Kristen is proud of the network of resources, care providers and relationships she has built with fellow Doulas, OBs, Midwives and Nurses in the Denver/Boulder area. Part of the leadership team of the Denver Health Doula program and a Community Doula with Elephant Circle’s Expecting Chances, she has been invited to speak, teach and attend birth related events seeking to improve the landscape of birth in our country and is always seeking to learn and grow. Pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding and parenting can be a lot to navigate. Kristen aims to support her clients with compassionate, trauma-informed, evidence-based, non-judgmental care. She holds space to address whatever comes up so families can show up to birth with confidence. Preparing you mentally, physically, and emotionally, she provides information, resources, guidance and advocacy to her clients as they navigate their unique adventure, helping them to feel empowered in their choices. When not with her own kids or working with clients, Kristen loves being in nature, traveling to new places, frolicking with her dog, swimming, hiking, biking, snowboarding, and surfing.

Full Service Doula
From hire I am available to you via phone and email for updates and questions, etc. We have two prenatal meetings in person with birthing person and partner between 32 and 38 weeks where we prepare for labor, delivery and postpartum. I am on call from 38-41 weeks and attend your birth and a couple of hours post partum. Of course if birth falls outside of those three weeks I am still your Doula, but I have solid back up if I am out of town or called to another birth outside your call window. I take photos and provide you with edited images within several days. We have a follow up post partum visit within a week or so after your birth where i bring you some food and gifts. We can process and I assist with breastfeeding and anything else needed.
