Yes, I can definitely accept insurance payments. However, there are some qualifications that some insurances require from doulas. It is important we discuss that during our "Meet Your Doula" Consultation so that we can discuss what your insurance requires of me. Some insurances just want to know what I will be offering and I can certainly send them my contract along with what services I will offer during the pregnancy phase and birth phase. I would be delighted to connect. My Meet Your Doula Consultation is free of charge.

Yes I can go outside of my regular service range! I understand the need for parents seeking out a provider who aligns with their values and beliefs when it comes to the pregnancy, birth and postpartum phases. If you would like to hire me as a doula and you are beyond my service range, I do have a travel fee of $25 (and will never exceed $25). In the event that a travel fee if not feasible, I provide Zoom calls to check in with expecting parents and see how they are doing. When getting to the third trimester, I make myself available for parents around that time to ensure that we have worked through our checklist items and go over any fears, any concerns or any questions parents may have that will lead up to the big event. I also assist parents with tours of the hospitals and/or birth centers so parents can ask the right questions and hopefully get the answers they need.

It breaks my heart to hear that some parents cannot afford birth and postpartum doula services. I believe that these services should be easily accessible within our community and there is still a lot of work to do within the birth community. If you cannot afford a birth or postpartum doula, I do offer the following services for parents who still want to work with a birth doula: 1. Childbirth Education Services (including resources I have for mothers opting for a VBAC, Birthing without Pain Management, etc.) 2. "Pave My Pathway to Birth" Birth Plan Services. The Childbirth Education Services go over what expecting parents should expect during childbirth and I provide a wide variety of resources for parents to read over. I offer affordable sessions by the hour either in-person or via Zoom Call. The "Pave My Pathway to Birth" Birth Plan Services is birth plan writing that is assertive, clear and concise with what the expecting parents expectations are for hospital and birth center staff. It is especially ideal for women who may have experienced birth trauma in the past and do not want to undergo that experience. This service requires prospective clients to fill out a questionnaire and send it over 48 hours before the intended Zoom Call. During the Zoom Call we discuss what parents expectations and/or experiences are so that I can tailor the birth plan to their needs. The birth plan will be submitted to parents within 5-7 business days. Parents are allowed up to 3 edits.
