About me

Kirsten has found her passion in providing a variety of support to families around Snohomish and King County since 2014. Working with families as a lactation consultant and childbirth educator, she found that she was seeking the ability to provide inclusive and evidence-based education all the way through pregnancy into the postpartum period. She decided to include birth and postpartum doula services in 2017. Kirsten has received training from Birthing From Within, Whole Body Pregnancy, Pro Doula, Lactation Educational Resources, Brilliant Birth Academy, and ICEA. She is certified in good standing with Pro Doula, Birthing From Within, and Brilliant Birth Academy.

Service introduction

-I provide evidence-based information on topics like prenatal nutrition, exercise, and relaxation techniques. I also share resources, articles, and videos to help prepare you mentally and emotionally for the birthing process. We cover terminology of birth and interventions to lower stress/anxiety during labor if and when decisions are needed. -I listen to your concerns and help you address any fears or anxieties you may have. I also help you develop a birth plan, discussing your desires and expectations for the birth experience, and exploring different options. -I help you prepare for labor by discussing early comfort measures and when you should head to the hospital or birth center. I work with families discussing their setup at home and plans for postpartum care. -I can suggest ways to ease pain and stress, such as breathing techniques, massage, or finding a more comfortable position. -I can provide information about procedures and actions taken during and after labor, and help explain a birth plan.

I have worked with Kirsten multiple times over my 18 years of being a mom and birthing 4 kids. She has always been incredibly helpful, resourceful and kind to me and my family. She truly goes above and beyond and has been a God send. She is extremely knowledgeable and flexible, answering all of my questions, calming my nerves and being a huge support. Highly recommended Kirsten!!!
