To insist and not allow the nurses or doctors to pressure me or manipulate me I need dimmed lights, calm, aromatherapy, calm music, pain relief (pain medicine if need be), Epidural, after birth- skin to skin as long as I say so, delayed cord cutting until the umbilical cord is completely white, no first bath, no Hpv vaccine, baby does not leave without me or dad, immediately starting to breast feed and needing help. I want the nurses to leave the room after or remain quite as I’m extremely sensitive to sound especially after labor.

I’m looking for someone that has seen many births and can help me gain confidence in my upcoming delivery. I had a daughter two years ago and it was not a good experience at all. I will be giving birth at a hospital in Round Rock, TX. I haven’t fully thought out my birth plan but I know want to avoid medications if possible. Additionally and this is not a must-have but if possible I’d like have the support of someone at night time during those first post partum weeks.

Putting out my feelers now for a night nanny/doula and what the cost may be; Our budget is small given that this will be our second child (currently enrolled in daycare) so we are open to maybe 2-3 nights a week if we cannot afford more. Our hope is that the night nanny/night Doula would be able to assist in feeding, changing and helping clean pumps parts once I finish. We’re planning on a hospital birth in the event I have complications like I do with my first child.
