I'm looking to learn more about what a doula can offer. My initial interest came about from my last birth where I delivered in hospital with an epidural. I journaled right after that experience to document what I liked and didn't like. The biggest thing that I feel like I would need help with in this second birth is being able to labor more flexibly. I didn't like all the cables and wires hooked up to me. I didn't feel like I could walk and move it even go to the bathroom with all the wires. I plan to give birth in a hospital in Kenosha. I am due July 31, 2025 with my second child and plan to give birth at Lake Forest Hospital. We live in Antioch, IL, and are primarily interested in overnight care 3-4 days/week for 8-12 weeks after the baby's birth, and also potentially interested in birth support.

I plan to give birth at West Allis memorial women’s pavilion. Estimated budget is $30/day. I do not have a specific birth plan.

I am a first time mom who is at high risk for Postpartum depression. I don’t feel like the father will be of much support. I’m enlisting a team of people to help me get through the first 3-6 months of Postpartum. I have a doula already, but she’s a birth doula, not a postpartum, so she will be departing from caring for me and my child after the first 3 weeks of giving birth. I have state insurance and I just found a job so I don’t know my budget at the moment. I plan to give birth at Froedtert Hospital as well.
