About me

Hi! My name is Jessi Kinsman, and I am a registered nurse and certified lactation counselor! I live in Colorado Springs but do home visits with my clients so you never need to leave the comfort of your own home! My motto is to do what keeps you sane, and that includes helping you reach YOUR goals, whether that’s with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, or a mix of all of the above! I am here to come alongside and support you on this beautiful and sometimes overwhelming journey. I have a background in nursing and decided to pursue lactation education and certification to add to my RN license to better prepare me to help you! I have a huge heart for women and families in this season of life, and my desire is to make it a time you can truly cherish. When I’m not helping mamas and their babies find their groove, I keep busy homeschooling and spending time outside with our 3 kids, and balancing all that time in nature with some family video games and movie nights. ;)

Jessi was a great help in my first few months of breastfeeding my second baby! She is a wealth of knowledge and gave me so many tips to encourage a good latch. She suspected mouth & tongue ties and referred us to a specialist— it turns out he had pretty severe lip, cheek & tongue ties. We had them revised and it changed our breastfeeding journey for the better! I’m so thankful Jessi was able to notice them and refer us to someone who could help.

Jessi is the best lactation consultant! She comes to your home where you are comfortable. She will assess your little ones latch and do weighed feedings. She makes you feel confident in your breastfeeding journey. She is personable and kind. she is amazing! She helped me find the issues my baby was having and was able to help me fix them! I hired Jessi for help with both my boys when they were born! They both struggled to latch and when they did it was so painful and miserable. She worked with me to try different positions and helped me make sure everything looked correct on my side. I ended up needing to get tie revisions and she referred me to the professionals I needed to see. She continued to support me and check in on me through out that process and did multiple weight checks after to make sure they were gaining weight like they should! She was so professional and knowledgeable and so kind and sat with me for however long it took until we got a latch that wasn’t painful. She’s truly one of the best in her field! I recommend her to everyone I know who’s pregnant/just had a baby.

My third baby was my most successful breastfeeding experience of them all and I owe it all to Jessi. My first two I breastfed for 7ish months but always with issues, needing a nipple shield, resulting in my babies having trouble gaining weight, and ultimately switching to formula. My third baby was following the same pattern and we were using a shield the first few weeks. 5 minutes into my session with Jessi, she had him latched without the shield. I was SHOCKED and elated. We never used the shield again after that day and I successfully breastfed for 13 months with zero issues. I can never repay her for gifting me that experience!

Jessi was really amazing when helping me breastfeed both of the babies. She made me feel comfortable and was so helpful and kind. She weighed the babies before and after feeding to ensure they were gaining appropriately, and really was a huge help when it came to latching etc. She is the best and I would highly highly recommend!
