first time parents. 1) hospital (Froedtert) 2) $1000 3) I will be giving birth in a hospital. Labor: I would like to be able to move around and drink fluids during labor. I have no preference regarding IV vs heparin or saline lock. My labor support people will be my husband and doula. I do NOT want people in training in the room during labor/birth. I am open to trying various options during labor such as birthing ball, birthing stool, birthing chair, squat bar, or a warm shower/bath. I do not know if I want anesthesia during labor but would like some form of pain relief. Delivery: I think I would prefer a vaginal birth, but I am open to discussing a c-section. My delivery support people will be my husband and a doula. I prefer avoiding an episiotomy. I want education regarding storing umbilical cord blood and what advantages this provides. For a vaginal birth I want my husband/doula to support me during pushing, my husband to cut the umbilical cord, lights dimmed (if possible), and to begin breastfeeding as soon as possible. I would like pictures to be taken if possible. I want to hold my baby on my chest as soon as possible as long as it does not interfere with medical care (apgar score, eye drops). In the event of a C-section I would like only my husband present. I want education regarding what support a doula can provide in the event of a C-section. I want my husband to hold the baby after delivery if I am not able. I would like one of my support people to go with the baby to the nursery. Ideally this will be my husband but may be a grandparent if needed. My support person with the baby must know what shots my newborn will receive. Baby Care Plan: Ideally I will exclusively breastfeed my newborn but I am open to bottle feeding if needed. It is ok to offer my baby a pacifier and formula. I want education on why a baby would be given sugar water. I want education regarding nursery vs rooming-in. If the baby is a boy, he will be circumcised at the hospital.

I plan to give birth at the Authentic Birthing center in Wauwatosa, WI. I am looking for a doula and birthing classes that are closer to Kenosha, WI where I live. I would like to have a water birth but am open to learning about other methods of pain management as well. I have not planned a budget yet. If the doula take insurance, my insurance is Aetna.

I would like to have an unmedicated birth at the hospital but would be open to at home. I would like to receiving coaching on pain relief techniques along with exercises and movements to help in preparation for the baby. I am mentally prepared for a marathon birth and the pain that is to follow along with it. I would like more education on postpartum and how to take care of myself and the baby. My husband is fully on board with an unmedicated birth and is prepared to stand up for my wishes for my self and baby during labor .

Hi! My name is Jenna and I’m 24 years old. I’m currently pregnant with my second child! My first pregnancy was easy and the birth was incredible. I pushed him out in 11 minutes. Since it was fast and I did make it to 8cm before I got the epidural, I’m interested in going all natural with the right coaching. I am a Christian and would prefer someone with a faith based perspective on birth. My hospital is Good Shepherd in Barrington, IL. To be honest, I’m not completely sure how much a doula would cost, but I’m open as long as my Cigna insurance cover some of it. If not, I’d prefer someone on the lower price point.

Hello, this is my first baby, due april 12. I plan to give birth at the elmhurst hospital, I do not have a birth plan and am not sure what to budget as I am new to this experience.

I am a first time mom of of twin boys, i will likely give birth early and I have been told I am high risk. I am also 25 so I am just looking for someone to ease my my mind, educate me and my husband and be my voice at the delivery room. I absolutely cannot be with an anti-vaxxer and anti modern medicine person. We can talk about the budget, I am open to it but I would want anyone potentially interested to not be expecting a big one! We are young parents to twins, there is not a whole lot of wiggle room!!
