I have given birth three times and though each birth experience was vastly different, they have something in common – I will never forget them. I would love for every woman to have a special and meaningful childbirth experience. My experiences many years ago first led me to lactation peer counseling and postpartum support. My passion to serve and empower women led to becoming a birth doula, and eventually a midwife. I am certified through the North American Registry of Midwives as a Certified Professional Midwife and hold a Midwifery Bridge Certificate. I am also licensed as a midwife in the state of South Carolina. I believe birth is a natural, hormonally driven process from the onset of labor through birth of the baby and placenta, as well as the establishment of breastfeeding and the development of mother-baby attachment. To support the natural birth process, women need informational, emotional, and physical support, as well as minimal external interference.

Rose (she/her) has been a midwife for over 5 years and has been attending births in various capacities and settings for over a decade. Rose completed her midwifery training at the Yale School of Nursing in Connecticut in 2019. Rose was drawn to this work because of the magic of the birthing body and the desire to come alongside birthing people to remind them of their full power and voice. Rose had her own two babies at home, her first here in NC with a CNM and her second with a CPM while in midwifery school.

Woodruff, South Carolina
I am many things; a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, and a midwife. I am also a lover of nature. When I am not seeing clients or at a birth you can find me camping in the woods, swimming in a lake, or simply sitting outside with my wife watching our son play. My other true love is midwifery. I was called to this work by a passion for meeting people where they are, sitting with them in that, and supporting them in their desires, even in one of life's most beautiful but challenging moments. I have attended over 100 births and look forward to having to opportunity to attend many more.
