About me

Hello! My name is Eva Monhaut-Jenkins and I am a birth and postpartum doula serving Michiana (Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan.) I serve about an hour radius of Cassopolis, MI. I became a doula after the birth of my own son wanting to support families on their own unique journey into parenthood. My mission is to support and protect this transformative time in families lives. I believe that every person is ultimately the source of power and knowledge for their birth. Your body! Your baby! Your birth! Your choices. I help women advocate in the birth space for their ideal birth experience. I support all families and am a LGBTQ+ safe space. I offer comprehensive birth services with a free consultation, two-three prentals meetings, continous labor support, phone support from the moment of Hiring, a postpartum follow up, referrals and birth education. Hello, I offer birth and postpartum doula services as well as childbirth education one-on-one content. I don't currently take Medicaid but can offer an insurance superbill, payment plans, sliding scale rates, am on Be Her Village Registry, and can work with HSA and FSA reimbursement plans. Birth Services

Free consult 2-3 Prental meetings, continous labor support, constant phone support from time of Hiring, 1 postpartum visit to check on recovery, healing, help eith newborn care and offer referrals as needed. In the prental meetings we work on childbirth education, practing labor techniques and pain management methods, relaxation methods and visualizations and planning your ideal birth experience. These last about an hour each and are a deep dive into your pregnancy journey and birth so you feel prepared, empowered, and safe in your birth space. Payment plans, sliding scale rates, and flexibility with this rate is available. Let's talk it through and find what works for you.

Postpartum Support

Billed hourly but I also have packages on my website and love working with clients to craft a personalized package. I also offer sliding scales rates. During postpartum support, I can do the following and so much more. I am there to make your postpartum recovery and transition run smoothly. I can do light Housework, wash dishes, clean bottles and Pump Parts, laundry, pet care, entertainment of older children ( at your home), help with newborn care, help out together baby areas, baby proofing, help with babywearing. Basic lactation support snd referrals to IBCLCs as needed, talk and access PP mood for PMADS, meal prep, pick up grocery orders, help with introducing other children to new baby etc. Let's connect to see what I can do for you.

Eva is a AMAZING doula & person over all ! My birth didn’t go as planned but Eva made sure I was comfortable at all times. She was very sensitive to my needs and wants. She explained things to me that I didn’t understand. Eva knows how to deal with any changes that are thrown her way and is welling to able and beyond to make sure the mom and dad is comfortable. Thank you Eva for everything you did for me, my boyfriend, and got our baby girl ‼️WE LOVE YOU 🥰

Do you conduct medical procedures?

No, as a birth and postpartum doula I only offer eveidence-based information and support you in making an informed choice. I do not offer medical advice or conduct any medical procedures including taking temps, blood pressure or catching babies (aside from an emergency).

Do you attend unassisted (free) births?

No. While I understand the desire to want a free birth and have dpula support, due to liability concerns, I do not attend these births.
