About me

I am a certified birth doula, childbirth educator, and peer lactation counselor that has a passion for natural birth, homebirth, VBACs, and more. I want nothing more than to help make your low intervention birth dreams come true. I’ve had 2 of my own VBACs, one of which was at home, completely intervention free and physiological 😍 it’s absolutely possible to birth in power…I know because I did it! When I’m not at a birth, I’m outside with my chickens or in the garden. I’m a mom of three and so homeschool them! We also love hanging out down at the beach. I’m a big lover of music, animals, and plants.

Service introduction

My philosophy: I firmly believe that birth is a natural event that *sometimes* needs medical intervention, not a medical event that *sometimes* happens naturally I do not believe pregnancy is an *illness* to be treated, but instead, a monumental phase of a woman’s life. Women should be cared for physically, emotionally, and spiritually during pregnancy. Most providers just cover the physical aspect. Let me bridge the gap. My services pair best with those desiring a primal, natural, hands off birth experience. I want you to trust the process as much as I do. But that doesn’t mean I only go to home births! I understand that for a multitude of reasons, you may be birthing in a hospital setting. That doesn’t mean your dream of a natural birth has to be tossed to the side! With all proposed interventions, we will walk through the BRAIN acronym. What are the Benefits? What are the Risks? What are the Alternatives? What does your Intuition say? What will happen if we do Nothing? I have all sorts of techniques to help women get through the thick of labor. Book a consultation and we can chat about it!
