Location: La Costa, CA 92011, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: February 24, 2025
I plan to give birth at UCSD Jacobs medical hospital. I'm unaware of the rate doulas typically cost as this is my first baby. I plan to give birth vaginally with medicine if necessary. I would like music, essential oils, lost of variety in movements while giving birth. I have gestational diabetes so I know that this can change to be either induced earlier or be a planned c-section. |

Tayler is looking for Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula
|
Location: San Diego, CA 92131, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: December 25, 2024
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Tayler Erbe, and I’m expecting my baby on December 25th. I’m interested in your doula services and would love to discuss the possibility of having you as my doula. Also I live in scripps poway. I’m new to this and not entirely sure what to expect, but my goal is to labor at home as much as possible before heading to the hospital. I’d really appreciate your support at home during pre-labor, and I plan to go to the hospital once I’m around 5-6 cm dilated. I’ve also put together a birth plan and wanted to share it with you: Labor Preferences: Present during labor: Husband and doula. Room atmosphere: Music. Labor positions: Open to squatting. Pain relief: Natural methods until 5 cm, then epidural. Medical pain relief: Yes to epidural, no to Pitocin. Induction/augmentation: No to Pitocin. Fetal monitoring: Continuous. Delivery Preferences: Delivery positions: Hands and knees or squatting, no lying down. Assisted delivery: No forceps/vacuum without consent. Episiotomy: No cutting without consent. Pushing: Directed pushing is fine. C-section: Only as a last resort. Immediate After Birth: Skin-to-skin contact: Yes, uninterrupted. Umbilical cord: Delayed clamping until it turns blue. Baby placement: Immediately on chest, no cleaning first. Newborn procedures: No Hepatitis B vaccine. Breastfeeding: Yes, immediately after birth. Lactation consultant: No. Baby’s first bath: No bath. Postpartum Care: Pain relief: No specific preferences. Rooming-in: Baby stays in the room at all times. Visitors: Only my son, no others. Special Circumstances: C-section: Husband present, anesthesia as needed. NICU plan: Undecided. General Preferences: No students or interns present. In terms of insurance, I have Medi-Cal Blue Shield, Kaiser, and Aetna, so I’m hoping your services can be covered by one of these providers. Please let me know if that’s a possibility, and if you have availability around my due date. Thank you so much for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Tayler Erbe |
