As a passionate advocate for birth and the environment, Elyse (she/her) brings a unique blend of empathy and expertise to her role as a birth doula. Her approach combines evidence-based knowledge with a warm, compassionate presence, ensuring that each birthing person feels empowered and supported. Outside of birth work, Elyse enjoys exploring the outdoors near Durham, NC and spending time with her family on endless adventures both locally and around the world. She has experience supporting a variety of births, including vaginal, cesarean, induction, VBAC, and birth after loss.

Service introduction

Supporting locations across Durham, Chapel Hill, & Raleigh, my passion as a birth doula is to support your pregnancy & birth through information, advocacy, encouragement, and hands-on labor support. During pregnancy, we'll meet w to get to know each other, discuss birth plans, ask questions, and review comfort measures. Once labor begins, I will stay with you throughout labor, birth, and the early postpartum period. I want you and any loved one supporting you to feel confident, empowered, and supported, no matter how you envision or experience your birth.

I provide comprehensive birth doula services including: -Complimentary meet & greet -Prenatal visits & meet-ups (1-2 visits) -Text & email support -24/7 on-call doula support from 38 weeks through birth -Full labor & birth support (including labor at home, if needed) -Support in the first 1-2 hours after birth, including feeding support -Postpartum connection & guidance (1-2 visits)
