I plan to give birth in the hospital but before that my husband and zi need guidance, assistance and help with all things during pregnancy and after pregnancy. Our budget is $1,000. We don’t really have a birth plan. This is our 1 st pregnancy

I plan on birthing in a hospital, not sure which one. I believe midwives are covered through medical, I am unsure of the costs. My fiance is a firefighter/paramedic. I am looking for a medical professional to help support me and make sure the birth is smooth as I have extreme medical anxiety. I have heard so many horror stories of mothers being taken advantage of during child birth and I want to do everything I can to make this as smooth as possible for the baby, myself and my fiance.

I would like to give birth at the Lucina birth centre in edmonton. I am terrified that I will need to birth in a hospital due to really negative experiences. I would like a midwife to help me make my own informed choices about my body and my baby's safety. Because we will need to pay for the birth centre our budget is not huge but we are willing to hear what a private midwife costs and try to make it work. I would like as little intervention and medication as possible for both my and my baby during the birth and post partum. We would like vitamin k drops for the baby as the only medication. We would like to have as few people touching me as possible but when its needed I would feel most comfortable if the one touching me was my husband if possible. We would like delayed cord clamping and for my husband to be the one to cut it when it is fully white. We are very excited and scared and hopeful but we know if really necessary we may end up being advised to go to the hospital and will be okay if it absolutely has to happen.
