Find Lactation Consultant Jobs Near East Lansing, MI

My hope is to be able to breastfeed my first baby coming this August. I know very little about breastfeeding, and the women in my family have not breastfed so do not know how to offer support. I want to be as prepared as possible to be successful in this journey, so I’d love to possibly find a lactation consultant.

My baby and I are struggling with breastfeeding, latching in particular. I have been pumping to maintain my supply. However, she gets extremely frustrated every time we try to latch. Sometimes she will latch for a few short seconds and then stops and gets frustrated again.

I would like to find a lactation consultant incase I am in need of them. Additionally I think it would be important to find help like a dula or night nurse if needed as well. Hospital birth - dmc hurron valley I’m unsure if cost as I have no idea where it would begin.

I am in need of a lactation specialist, I am a first time mom with barely any knowledge on breast feeding and breast pumping.

Having a hard time getting my 6 day old baby to eat. He seems to suck and no milk come out a majority of the time, i have tried 5 different bottles and none of them really seem to make a difference. He was eating about 30-35 ml a feeding then yesterday around 7 he would not feed it went on all night and he woke up starving, he ate 50 ml of milk. I’ve tried to feed him again because he seemed fussy and ready to eat and he sucked on the bottle but barely any milk came out again. I’m just worried about him and really want to get him eating a higher amount of of milk and would love some advice.

I’m looking for lactation support. Helping me manage my exclusive pumping schedule, and caring for baby. She wouldn’t latch again after coming home, and I had a really good supply at first and now it’s really declining. And fast. I am a stay at home mom, with 3 step kids and this being my first baby. We are only on one income, but do have good health insurance coverage

I plan to give birth at the hospital in Hastings Michigan. I am not sure what the cost is. I don't know what to budget for. I plan to have a natural birth, no pain medication, no induction. I want delayed cord cleaning and no pokes for baby unless absolutely necessary.

Latch, cluster feeding, worried they’re not getting enough, has days and nights switched

I plan to give birth in the hospital with a natural/unmedicated birth. This is my 2nd child and I did not have a postpartum doula with the first and I very much regret not having that support especially to help with breastfeeding. It is difficult for me to provide an estimated budget as I don’t really know what the average cost is for a postpartum doula.

I plan to give birth in the Ann Arbor/ypsilanti area at St. Joes hospital! I am hoping to have a mostly unmedicated birth (I would like to try the laughing gas) but of course am open to changing my mind as I have never experienced birth before and don’t really know what to expect. I would love to learn pain management skills and also have someone be able to help advocate for me as I figure out my birth plan more in depth. I am worried about breast feeding as well and would love someone who could guide me through that too. I have always dreamed of breast feeding but I have heard that it isn’t always as easy/intuitive as one might think!!

I am looking to be proactive in my breastfeeding journey with my second baby due at the end of May. I would like to find an IBCLC local to the Grand Rapids, MI area that works with Priority Health Insurance.

I have seen a LC before and am looking to work with someone again. I have some general questions, including about pumping and some other things, right now I EBF but will return to work in January. I am scheduling due to increasing pain. The latch is painful and sometimes I get a shooting pain, but now I have a new worrisome pain that happens in my right even when I’m not breastfeeding. Also I believe he has a shallow latch. I have blue cross blue shield.

I need a LC or IBCLC to assist in getting my son to latch and his sucking needs strengthened. He did amazing in the hospital but, a day after getting discharged he was readmitted for jaundice. He also lost over a lb. Due to the need of weight gain and the issues with suction and latch I fed him bottles of expressed milk that whole night in the hospital. So now I need to work on transitioning him back along with his latch and pull. He is 10 days old and didn't have a bottle until 6 days old. My estimated budget is pretty low
