Hi, I’m Dorothea Rose, my friends call me Dori. We’re friends now so I guess you can too! I’m the Owner of Roots to Roses, a Certified Labor and Postpartum Doula and a mom of two. I also hold a VBAC Specialist certificate that helps me to understand the difficulties and guide women through the unknowns and uncertainties of having a vaginal birth after cesarean. My love for being a mother helps me to empathize with women throughout their journey to motherhood. I love helping women through all stages of their fertility journey. My passion is in helping women through their journey to motherhood by empowering them to listen to their bodies’ natural cues and advocate for individual needs throughout pregnancy, laboring and postpartum. I enjoy helping clients through encouragement and enlightenment, working together to educate about the unique needs every woman has and discover the best course for a happy and healthy mom and baby. My passion for helping others learn about their bodies and advocate for individual needs has fueled my determination to obtain various doula certifications and develop a company that allows me to individualize care to women throughout their fertility journey. 

Birth Doula: I offer personalized birth doula services to families in the Indianapolis area. Whether you want a hands-on doula or hands-off guidance for you and your partner through birth, I'm here to support you. My goal is to reduce any stress, allowing you to pay attention to your body and your baby. I take on a limited number of clients at any one time to make sure I can give you the full care and attention you deserve. Postpartum Support: The early days of child-rearing can be very stressful. My Postpartum Support service ensures you receive the best information and care possible in this transitional period. With my postpartum services we hold space for the good, the bad, the ugly and everything in between. I help with what you need to help you get life right back on track with your new little one. Childbirth Educator: My childbirth education service is designed to provide you with the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions during your labor and delivery. I take a personalized and evidence-based approach to ensure that you feel empowered and confident in your birthing journey.
