I don’t know what my birth plan will be. It is my second birth, my first birth was very traumatic. My daughter was forced out via vacuum. Id like to be able to have a natural unmedicated birth but im not sure if im capable. I’d like to labor at home until absolutely necessary (I was induced before. Never ever again) I want as little medical intervention as possible but I am open to laughing gas. I am most comfortable in the shower/water but my at home tub is not big enough to fully labor/ give birth in. I’ve been seeing a traditional western OBGYN and I just don’t see her having my personal best interest and I’m just another run of the mill pregnancy. I love her as a person but maybe I have a disdain/trust for doctors. Need help being reminded of my beliefs and not giving into pressure and fear from hospital workers.

Hello, I’m a new mom of a baby born who will be two months old Saturday. I have been diagnosed with mild postpartum anxiety and though my fiancé works from home, our families live far away and as first time parents, I believe we could use some additional support. Right now I’m struggling with feeding and pumping and knowing what to do with my baby all day. We are giving birth at UCI MEDICAL CENTER. Budget is $4000. We are looking for a birthing doula to help us ensure an easy and optimized labor and delivery as well as with postpartum care while at home. Looking for someone to help minimize pain during birth, emotional support , prevent cesarean section, collaborate with nurses and doctors to optimize the admission. Help guide me for natural birth at the hospital .

we are an interracial couple with deep Christian faith. this is our first baby and I am an older mama at 38 y/o. having someone who is deeply experienced as well as a Christian is important to us and if they were a black woman that would be very meaningful. we value the holistic, low/no-toxic lifestyle and would like to have minimal medical interventions, though we know with my advanced age we may need to deliver in a hospital. with that, we would like to have someone that will help us prepare for birth, be an educator and advocate, as well as be present at the birth, so we can focus on one another and be as present as possible to the experience. We are also looking for someone who have help us transition for a few weeks after birth into postpartum (that can be different from the brith doula but same preferences apply). This may include overnights to help with sleep or postpartum care for mama, as well as meal planning and any lactation support. this is all new to us, so we want to create a team that can help support us through the process and budget.
