Hello! It’s my honor and passion to be actively supporting new and expectant parents for the past 20+years in Tucson, Arizona. I am a fully certified Labor and Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator and Lactation Educator, and enjoy using my expertise to help my clients navigate the many options available in pregnancy, labor and the postpartum journey. I’m proud to have positive, and long-standing professional relationships with all the OBGYNs and midwives in our area. I support births at all our Tucson hospitals, as well as the Midwifery Center and planned home-births. I have decades of experience with supporting all kinds of clients and births: Unmediated/medicated births, Cesarean births, VBACS, singletons/twins/triplets, IVF, teens, LGBTQ, high-risk pregnancies, water births. I offer non-judgmental support and culturally respectful care. My goal is to offer research-based education and physical/emotional support, to help empower you. We will work together to form your birth preferences, and I will help you understand options available to you, at your birthing location. I will help you with ways to communicate effectively with your medical provider, understanding ways to participate in your health care decision making,, your patient rights, how to know when you’re in labor/when to go to the hospital, etc….all while making sure that we keep joy/excitement infused into everything…..vs. letting all the medical stuff overshadow this amazing season in your life. I’m here to celebrate with you, and love reminding my clients that this experience is a birth-day, but also a birthday that will be celebrated and forever remembered. I look forward to the opportunity to connect with you!

I offer customized childbirth education integrated into prenatal care visits during pregnancy. We work together to develop your birth preferences (into a birth plan), based on understanding your options during different phases of labor and birth. We will have the opportunity to process any previous birth experiences if any, as well as address any potential fears/concerns surrounding labor and delivery. If you have a partner, we will spend time ensuring that they also feel supported and prepared. I am available for questions via phone/text, and maintain close communication after each of your scheduled medical provider appointments. As your EDD draws close, we will stay in communication to ensure you feel confident and prepared. I remain on-call, ready to join you when you may feel ready for in-person support. I come prepared to stay with you to support you in labor, and until your baby is born. After delivery, I will help you with latching/feeding your baby and getting settled for the first 1-2 hours. I am open to taking pictures for you, if you’d like. Following the birth, I will reachout to you within 3 days of delivery, to offer an a postpartum follow-up visit whereby you can process your birth experience. I help address topics such as your emotional/physical well-being, sleep/nutrition, and newborn care and feeding questions. I have many resources and vetted referrals within the community, should you desire to have outside support such as pelvic floor PT, chiropractic, acupuncture, lactation consultants, massage therapy, parenting classes, pediatricians, counseling, etc.
