I am a birth worker since 2012, I have provided a variety of services in a variety of settings around the world. I am located in Toronto, Canada, but I am available to travel for minimum one month commitments.
I have worked in Macau & Hong Kong, Manila, Nairobi, Vancouver, and Guadalajara, and have a global perspective on birth physiology and traditions. I provide trauma-informed, and culturally safe care, be it education, lactation support, birth and postpartum doula services, or midwifery care.
I’m available as a midwife only where a license isn’t required.
My approach is very collaborative—rather than “save” you from unsafe practitioners, I prefer to work with you comprehensively in the prenatal period to be sure you have the environment you need for a peaceful and satisfying (physiologic, if possible) birth.
My years and depth of experience and knowledge sets me apart from most locally-focused doulas, so I tend to work well with expats and globe-trotters like myself.
My happy place is home in Ontario in the near North, at the cottage that has been a part of my family’s experience for 100+ years. I love all animals but especially dogs, and I ADORE drinking coffee and discussing big ideas.

Prenatal Care Deep Dives

Cierre de Caderas
This is a traditional Mexican ceremony that was gifted to me as a care provider to bring to families worldwide. It is meant as a way to close a cycle, like the pregnancy-birth-immediate postpartum cycle, but can be held for other reasons including menarche/menopause, changing marital status, changing jobs, moving, etc. The offering includes:
*vaginal steam or herbal bath with my proprietary herbal mixture
*story listening and emotional integration
*full body massage
*Closing of the Bones ritual with Mexican rebozos
This can incorporate elements of spirituality or not, per your preference. It is impactful either way.

If you want the best, hire Christy.
Where to begin? We LOVED working with Christy. If you’re reading these reviews wondering if you should have her as your doula, you definitely should. Our experience with Christy was nothing short of extraordinary.
After the birth, I described Christy to my husband as our angel - as it felt that she magically appeared and blended in, giving just the right level of support and guidance, without being overbearing or intrusive. Her presence felt very natural and she completely put myself and my husband at ease. Christy played a pivotal role in helping me establish breastfeeding, which really helped set us up for success with feeding, and having her there to help with this immediately after the birth was invaluable. After our daughter was born, Christy continued to check in with us, and we felt extremely well looked after. She is clearly an expert both in caring for mothers in the postpartum period, but also in caring for newborns, and her years of experience meant we felt in very capable hands. Her dedication to postpartum care is unmatched, and her deep understanding of the emotional and physical needs of both the birthing person and their partner is truly remarkable. Christy’s passion for what she does shines through in every interaction, and her knowledge in perinatal care is both comforting and empowering. I give Christy my highest recommendation – any family would be very lucky to have her as part of their parenting journey!

I could not be more grateful to Christina who was my birth doula in Jan 2024! Not only did she take me very late in my pregnancy for a VBAC, but her confidence, energy and knowledge helped me to prepare for birth both physically and mentally. Her approach resonates with me a lot. She helped me advocate for myself in the hospital and ensured I made informed decisions without sabotaging the hospital. Thanks Christina for making my VBAC a reality, I could not have done it without your support! ❤️

I cannot imagine going through this life changing experience without Christy. She became part of our family. She is kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable. I had postpartum anxiety and Christy was one of the only people I trusted with my newborn. I highly recommend her services, not only is she an amazing birth worker but she is just an amazing human and we all love her (our dogs included).

Christina is an intuitive, passionate and caring doula with a wealth of knowledge and experience. She is very culturally aware, and takes the time to make sure that parents and babies are cared for in the way they both want and need. She is an excellent teacher and advocate, and I’d never consider having a baby without her at my side.
